Slacking...
Hi Everyone!
Hope you all had a wonderful 4th!
Just wanted to confess a little bit. I have been slacking! I must be
but I have been low on my protein drinks.
Big time and then the vitamins I missed a few days! YIKES!!!
I had half a donught over the weekend! half!!
and didnt get sick! now that was scary so I am swearing off them! I was sooo hungry and didnt have protein around just a stupid donught. Lets just say I stocked up on protein real quick cuz that was scary being able to eat that and not feel bad. (physically I mean!) But the protein supplements is what I really have been slacking on. I need to confess that. Sometimes its easier to get in check when we confess here.
I need to knock down those carbs
Too many. So I still lost 3 pounds over the weekend which was just a blessing. I have been swimming alot so I think that helped because if I hadn't I know I wouldn't have lost a thing this past week! Well Its been a slow loss this past month anyways. But thats because I need to watch more carefully. Anyone else have any "Opps moments?" or slacking off a bit?

I've managed not to "oops" (i.e., eat something I shouldn't) but I struggle ALL the time with getting everything in. Most weeks, I don't like how I've performed in some area, whether it's getting started on my water early enough in the day to fit it all in (gee, could that be TODAY), taking the vitamins, getting my butt to the gym. Like you, I just have to rededicate myself and know that it takes a lot to change our habits. I try to focus on one thing at a time. I'm sure, sooner or later, I'll "oops" because we're all human. I think it's best to just get back on the pony and ride when that happens. I also think as we begin to feel a lot better, that is the time to watch out for all of this. It makes sense. It's your opportunity to analyze what happened and then put a plan into motion to head it off at the pass. For example, you stocked up, a very smart response. You didn't just sit there and go, "Well, I ate half a doughnut, so I might as well eat the other half." That would be the old us, not the new us, right?

Yeah sure was the old me to eat the other half of the donnut! Thank goodness those days are over! woo hoo! Yeah thats it too... feeling much better and getting pre occupied with life now that we can live it a bit better and are doing more things we start to loose track of things I think. At least that seems to be whats happening to me. Now that I have my protein foods in check I need to stock up on the protein drinks! I have a few but need to get those 40 gr of protein per bottle ones! That I can drink down and feel less guilty!
Anyone else out there seeing yourself slipping a bit?

During the week when I'm working I have a set morning routine, and the last thing I do before I leave the house is make a protein shake that I drink in the car on my way to work.
On the weekend, I'm not in the same routine, and don't always make a protein shake, and when I'm out-of-town like I have been lately, I usually miss my protein shake too.
I have never been very good at taking pills, so I really have to force myself. I'm supposed to have two chewable multi-vitamins daily and most of the time only do one. I just don't like them, so I skip them.
I know it's bad, and I am trying to slow down a bit and concentrate on doing the right things, and not slacking. I have started taking Biotin and Flax Seed Oil because of hair loss.
I'm making it my goal for the rest of July to get in all of my vitamins, and exercise a bit more frequently. Last month I only lost 10 lbs. This month I'd like to lose at least 16.
Good Luck to all of you,
Karen L.
OPPPS can be my middle name too! I have tested my boundaries and learned that are somethings that i should not eat but I have.. BUT... I also know that the look of my body and how Physically healthy that I am is soooooooo worth it. I have sworn off those Bad foods also! As for protien... I eat mine.. I hate those drinks! But i do manage to eat almost alll protien!
