4 mo-incision finally closed-hair falling out

its 4 months since surgery-my incision is closed all the way now--it had to be cut open from the first week because of infection-my hair is falling out --i get all my protein - 2 vit-cal citrate daily-b-12 shot each month-anything else i can do so i don't loose too much hair-thanks kerry-54

Hi Kerry,I am also losing my hair, I think we are getting all the right amount of protien in and vitamins, b-12, and our hair is still comming out If you find something that works let me know! I guess it is a small price to pay for having wls! God Bless and stay Healthy!

I take biotin and zinc and have done so since I was preop. I also know people who use special shampoos. The hair loss will stop after a while and the hair will grow back. Glad to hear your incision is now closed. Louise -57

I take a Super-B complex with 30mcg of Biotin(recommended dose is 10 or 1000) and I have not had any problems with hair loss, my hair and nails are growing like crazy!!! Biotin is the way to go if you are having hair loss problems!!! ~Nicole

I think we are all different about hair loss...I have taken biotin, zinc, multis, among other vits since surgery and even before and I have started loosing my hair over the last few weeks. Must just be everyones system is different. I am glad your incision is closed now! Keep up the good work! sue -64

Girl.... I am right there with you on the hair loss. My hair dresser put me on Nioxin the full 4 step treatment last Saturday after she cut my hair. She said that if it does not slow down the hair loss it will at least help it grow back in faster when I am done sheding. Leslie

It doesn't seem to matter if you take all that extra stuff or not, all seem to lose their hair. I recently cut all mine off very short, because i got tired of it falling everywhere. I no it will grow back in a couple of months so I just deal with it short for now. Its so Hot here, it doesn't really matter to me. Marilyn, the bearlady
