Hi all my marchers
. I am finding that I am really able to eat MORE since about my 3 month mark and even more since 4 months. I am still losing albeit slower than before but am still concerned if I am indeed eating too much.
Today I had:
B-protein shake
L-Red Lobster--1/2 dinner salad, 3 shrimp, 4 crab legs, and a couple bites of a biscuit.
snack---uuggg don't even want to admit what I had but it was 200 calories and NOT protein.
D-tops off of 2 slices home baked pizza and a little crust.
lots of fluids.
Thing is I am not feeling full much anymore at all. Are you experiancing this as well? I do have Miss Flo here and that has upped my meals more than it should as well but STILL...oh I need to STAY AWAY from popcorn and sweets even sugar free sweets still have 200 calories. UUUUGGGGG

O' yes I am not getting very full now. I find myself wanting more food sooner. I thought I might be making my pouch bigger.
This what I ate to day. Keep in mind that I work nights and sleep in the daytime:
0200 Atkins Bar
2:00 2 crab clusters( seems like alot)
4:00 Torritta Pizza
8:00 Poppers (4)
0400 will have atkin shake
I sometimes feel like I am starving.

Congrats on getting in your shakes!! LOL,, it is not good,, but I dont get them in more thatn 2 times a week. BUT my nutritionst is happy because I eat alot of protein.
Yes I do...eat more... but not that much...like the pizza you had... I could only get 3-4 bites down and NO crust.

Your pouch isn't getting bigger, I was told by lots of post-op patients
your appetite comes back around 3 and half months. Thats what is
happening to us. You have to be careful not to overeat. Stay with
your small portions and try not to snack. It will jump start your weight
loss again. Our doc's out here only have us eat 3 time a day. only
4 oz at a time. It sounds like you are eating a lot. cut back and see what happens. Try to avoid the pizza & make better choices in what
you are eating.

How in the world do you get in enough calories only eating 4 tbs 3 times a day? My surgeon has us shoot for 1000 and sometimes I don't make that. Also my surgeon told me that pizza is NOT a bad choice. You get lots of protein from those toppings...he does prefer home baked though because they aren't as greasy. It is so strange how all of our Doc's are SO different in what they advise us to eat. But for our BMI's I think we are both on about the same track as far as weight loss goes. I do know that I need to avoid the starchy carbs and cut down some on portion sizes, It seems liek I am frothy more often again and maybe overdoing it and that is why. Thanks for the great advice.

yep I am feeling like I can eat more as well. Actually I KNOW I can eat more. I had a slice of pork loin yesterday and I was able to eat the whole thing plus a piece of potato and peas. I usually can only eat 2 bites of meat that tough but I got it all down with no pressure or anything! I also ate a donught twice and didnt dump. (not lately though) BAD ME!!! But have been staying away from that!!! Dont want to go there again! that was scary. My appetite is really in full force if I dont eat on a regular basis so I try to get in that protein and will not eat all my breakfast at once but continue throughout the morning until lunch time, so by the time lunch rolls around I dont feel like I could eat a horse!!! Its definitely changing and I am trying to adjust correctly. Best wishes! I feel ya!

I too can eat more than before, but it still isn't much. I still have no desire to eat typically, and do get full quickly. I'm thankful for that. I'm losing at a rate of about 3-4 lbs per week right now. I'm also working out at the gym 2x per week and walking half an hour or more about 3x per week. (+all the running around that you do with a 7 yr old and 2 dogs).
Yesterday I had:
B- protein shake
L- half a large meatball w/sauce, 3 large watermelon chunks, 2 large honeydew chunks
D- 2 ribs and 2 large cauliflower florets
S- handfull of cashews
Befroe bed - protein shake
fluids all day

I thought something was wrong with me. I feel like I am eating alot as well. I started back to the gym on Sat. I am only doing the treadmill right now. I am also following Atkins. I started Atkins on Sat and I saw a 1 and 1/2 pound loss. I am almost at the 40 pound mark. I am VERY HUNGRY all the time. I still seem to think I can eat more then my pouch. I still eat fast and get sick. I think I should up my protein more.

I too noticed Friday that I can eat more than before. I am down 84 pounds as of today. The 25th was my 4 month mark. I finished a whole "side" salad at burger king and nearly flipped out!!
I was in a pani****pt telling my husband, I ate it all!! Normally I can eat only about half. I listen very carefully to my body so i can stop when full but that full feeling didn't come.
And since then I've noticed I can eat more. Nothing like I used to eat pre-op but considerable more than these last 4 months. Dh keeps saying it's still just a little...but it scares me. This has been the easiest weight to loose...I don't want to stop...My doctor says don't count calories,you need 1000,(so don't obsess over how much you get,you can't eat alot any way,just make good choices)everything in moderation except bread, and 6 little meals a day. Obviously it's working for me. best advice is to follow your docs plan, especially when it's working.
I do feel better knowing that other marchers are experiencing the same thing. I'm not abnormal after all. THANKS!!!!

I find that sometimes I do eat more and sometimes I don't. When it is that time of the month I eat alot more but I find it is mostly munchie stuff like baked crackers or granola and stuff like that. I'm told that eventually I'll be able to eat a 1/2 a sandwich but it would take a good year. I'm still at the 4 bites and done stage. I can't eat a whole slice of pizza which bugs me sometimes.. but anyway... I hope all is well and you continue on a great successful journey!
