craving cigarettes 13 years after quitting
Does anyone have any insight as to why I am craving cigarettes ? I quit about 13 years ago and haven't craved one in at leaset 10 years. Whats going on? It is more than just remembering smoking. I am I feel, physically craving them. Like I am detoxing off of them again. This is really driving me nuts. ANyone else experience anything similar or have any answers for me?? I sure don't want to start smoking again.

Hi , It sounds like your having a craving for something, I dont think it would be possible to be wanting a cigarette :smoke: after all these years I would get a blood series done , a.s.a.p you may be lacking a certain vitamin and it is just your body's way of asking you for something to replace it, discuss it over with your doctor he/she will know what direction to point you in .
best of luck and stay healthy! Hugz Mary
Nic,
Nicotine is stored in fat, as your body metobolizes the fat, it is released into your bloodstream. Yes, in essence you ARE detoxing agian. I hope you are drinking LOTS of water to wash all that gook out of your system. Sorry you have to go through this again! Congrats on not smoking!
