Hair loss

I thought I missed the hair falling out because it didn't start at three months. In the last month I've lost A LOT. I now wear a hat (sun visor) becasue the loss is mainly at my bang line. I do see some new growth. I'm taking Zinc. Is there anything else I can do? Robin 247/176/130

I take zinc and biotin twice a day and have since 6 weeks pre op. I also recently started using a conditioner with Nioxin. I got that through drugstore.com I haven't experienced any hair loss yet. My 5 month anniversary is on the 18th. I'm hoping. Louise

I just clean the hair up and get rid of it. I really dont care if it falls out. I have it short anyway and im going to be cutting it even shorter in the next week i hope. When it starts to grow back then i will let it grow out. LaRhonda

Robin, I take Flax Oil 4000 mg per day. Yes they are GIGANTIC horsepills but my doc insists if we want to keep our hair we must take them. At first, at Doc's suggestion, I took them with hot tea...now I just swallow them down with whatever I'm drinking at the time. They dissolve at body temperature so there's really no worries. Thanks Louise, Now I look back at my pictures with my long hair and wonder how in the world I thought that hair looked good??? Strange huh?? But with the shorter hair comes the added tedium of having to have it cut every 6 weeks. My hairstylist is a happy man!! Va

Well, I have done well at getting in my protein, and I have taken hair skind and nails vitamins along with my regular vitamins, and I still lose hair every stroke of the comb. I keep thinking it will quit, but so far no luck. I guess some of lose weight one way and some another... :haha Joy -61 lbs
