No religious discussions? What does that mean?

I just saw that they have a new terms of use they post when you create a post. I am pretty shocked to see that they are banning religious discussions. Does this mean you can't tell of your experience and how you felt your spirituality has been used and/or affected? Or are they just saying, no debates over religion? I have to say I am very disappointed right now. It feels as if they are saying that we cannot post that we will pray for each other, we can't say that we felt led to do whatever, we can't say that we feel prayer has helped change a negative situation..... Am I interpreting this wrong? Boy - I hope so..... Dina

I hope we're reading it wrong. I feel like when we all prayed for Rob , and for the people that were in "Charley" they needed to know we were praying for them. God is number one in my life , so maybe we need to just post on the Christianity Messageboard. I don't want to offend anyone. I am not going to try and push my believes on any one else or debate what I believe. Judy

Me too Judy. I don't want to cause debate, but I don't see expressing ourselves as being offensive. We all come from different beliefs. I think on this board we've been pretty okay with respecting them. Some people pray to stars, some to God, some to mother earth, some to their pizza delivery guy. I'm not asking for anyone to believe what I believe...I'm just want to make sure that I am allowed to express that part of me without getting in trouble. After all, I wouldn't be here if it were not for being led here. How can I talk of my experience with wls when it is so intricately intertwined with my faith? Dina

I think this is a broad stroke disclaimer. The intent is to keep down arguments about religious differences not the spiritual tie we all have. Personally I HATE that new disclaimer box. It's insulting!! My 2 cents! Happy thoughts, Va Was/Am/Wannabe 232/159/130 -73 pounds

I choose to interpret it that the standard is to be respectful of others, regardless of beliefs. I have no problem with that. I treasure my freedom of expression, but I will not use it to bash anyone that I may disagree with. Joy
