Marchers Plateau
Well I just wanted to join the bandwagon regarding plateaus. I too have been stuck stuck stuck. I am loosing sooooooo slowly the past 2 months. Its getting so discouraging. I am just trying to hang in there and pray that my body starts to kick into gear again. I need to be more consistent and start to manage things better. Maybe go back to the basics like someone mentioned in a post in regards to liquid food again.
well maybe not liquid foods but the softer foods
I just couldnt take the blended stuff! Ick! I need to be extra mindful of sugar and carbs. (Of course). I have been exercising as well and just havent seen the loss. It really sucks. I sure hope we all start loosing again. It is sounding as if this is just the Month that our bodies see the next big plateau since so many of us are hitting one. Hope we all break it soon!

Elizabeth,
I saw my nutritionist yesterday for my 6 month check (2 weeks early), I was talking about plateaus and she said that they like to see the loss slowing down by 6 months and that to stay healthy your body needs the break. She said she would like to see the loss slow to 1-2 pounds a week after 6 months, although that sounds trivial after such a rapid loss, over a month that is 4-8 pounds and in a year thats 48-96 pounds, I just keep focused on how far I have come and what next year will look like, makes the plateaus much easier to handle. We all know we are not alone, and I am thankful for that.
Take care, Janelle
Yeah, thats what feels like is happening. Its slowing and just a couple pounds are creeping off. But then again I am up down up down like a yo-yo. I think our bodies are taking a rest too. I just have such a long ways to go yet it can be quite frustrating but I am glad to know that it will come off this time. Even though its going alot slower than I expected. Best of luck!

Marchers,
I am right there with all of you. This plateau is starting to make me crazy(er). I refuse to eat only proteins (refer to the Stillman Diet debacle from a few days back), but don't know what to do to get the loss going again. Maybe this is normal, having the "Month Five Plateau Blues." If any of you pre-Marchers out there could shed any insight into this problem, it would surely be appreciated. Thanks!

Well, I had my 2.5 almost 3 week plateau a few weeks ago. I FINALLY caught up a little, but still yet remain a slow loser. I too am going to try doing what Lissa mentioned she does and have a protein drink or two a day. Actually I will just make my low carb chai lattes and have those then have one dinner. Hopefully that will do the same for me.

Count me in this group too. I have bounced between -60 and -62 lbs for about a month now. It is the first time I have gone this long without losing, but I know that I am eating more these days--my appetite is definitely returning! My hair is still thinning too. I wouldn't mind gaining a pound--OF HAIR!
All in all, I feel so much better than I did 6 months ago, that I refuse to panic. It will start up again when my body is ready. As long as I do not gain!!!
