Plastic Surgery
Hey, Beth...it looks like we had surgery the same day. I have been wandering the same thing....between the bat wings and the droopy boobs, I don't know which will be first.
I know most people say to wait a year and I definitely will have to massage the budget to get it done!
Good Luck and I will watch to see what everyone says.

I have communicated with a plastic surgeon about my arms which seems to be the only thing I may need...and he said it is the first place to stabilize so would consider doing it at 6 months to a year. I am kind of backing off of that too...I am adjusting to my body and don't think it is something I can't live with. The scar for the arms may be just as bad.

Beth,
I carried most of my weight in my belly, so I definitely have a TT in my future. Other than the appearance of it, my biggest problem is that it makes my hip joints ache. Anytime there's an absence of movement for any length of time the hip joint stiffens up and is very painful. Accidentally I discovered that (i had the hiccups one night while out walking) if I suck my stomach in the pain goes away. Tightening those muscles pulls my belly up and in about 3 inches, and what a relief that is on my hips.
My PCP seems to think that eventually I'll need to have the excess skin removed and the muscles underneath tightened to affect the muscular changes I get when I consciously tighten up.
My Boobs are vanishing quickly but that's OK with me. The skin is actually taking back up with them so they aren't droopy. DH would like a augmentation but it's not worth it to me!!
My batwings aren't to bad and again the skin seems to be rebounding well.
All that's on my to do list is just my tummy tuck.
Happy thoughts,
Va

Well, I'll likely have more than I really ever wanted to consider. I started out at 325 at surgery, 338 my high. I have my thighs getting saggy now (this is just plain fugly...), my arms are starting to sway, my belly is NOT going to firm up and my boobs have never been anything but saggy since I was in high school. The boobs were always uneven too, so those will most definitely be done.
I will likely seek out the TT first as it will cause me a lot of problems. It is already a problem with rashes and has been for a couple years (since my c-section). I am certain it will get worse rather than better. When I have that done I intend on doing the boobs at the same time. I may as well. Then later down the line I will do the legs and arms as I can afford or see the need. By then who knows if they will firm up enough to where I feel like I won't need the arms or legs done...

The very first thing I want/need to do is my arms. I've always had huge arms (thank you Grandma) and end up wearing clothes a couple of sizes too big to get them over my arms. Any blouse or shirt I wear hangs too big in the shoulders and my bra straps are constantly showing. I wear a 14/16 across the bust and tummy, but usually need a 20 to get something over the arms. I don't care about the scars, I just want to wear clothes that fit.
I've heard that you should get the tummy tuck done before the boobs so that the TT doesn't pull the boobs down. I have no idea how true that is, but we'll see. Definitely a TT in my future.
The girls are screaming to be picked up. My boyfriend has never been fond of "artificial women", but has magnanimously volunteered to help pick out a pair of boobs. What a guy. lol
The thighs are lumpy, dumpy, dimply, but I really don't care too much about that. I may change my mind later.
One thing I really want to do is get a chemical peel after I've lost the weight I need to. I have a lot of brown spots from sun damage and I understand that the peel helps tighten the face and smooth wrinkles. As weight comes off, I discover more and more fine lines. Not only was there a skinny woman under all that fat, she was old.
I can't help but feel that I'm pretty vain wanting all this reconstruction, but damn it, I earned it.

I have 8 pounds to get to goal and I have an appt. with the plastic surgeon. I am going to have a face/neck lift and upper and lower eyelids done. My upper arms, thighs, and breasts are saggy but my DH says I look beautiful, and he's the only person who sees those parts of me. I thought about a breast lift but then heard about 2 women who lost their nipples having it done and having to have nipples tattooed on their breasts. That changed my mind.

My thighs are gross! I will be going for the TT, breast lift in about 6 months. Luckily for me the big Navy base in Jacksonville florida has a plastic surgeon so my PCP will refer me there when it's time for Plastics! I'm gonna try and get the beltectomy where they low around the body and pull everything up!
