Cravings
Beth,
Hi, oh my gosh you are not alone. My cravings started at my six month anv. I wanted chips and sweets like crazy and the bad thing is that sugar does not bother me, gosh!!!! Anyway to cut down the sweet craving I'll have a choc. protein shake or a low carb choc. carmel bar usually half and for salt I have a couple of peanuts or rice cakes I have to have a crunch. I am fighting hard to beat it good luck and post if you find something else that works.

Hi Beth:
I've found 3 things helpful-- In the order of helpfulness.
1 - Fill up with dense protein - meat, fish, eggs - tht prevents cravings.
2 - Wait out the craving - they usually go away within 15 - 30 minutes. As long as I keep that in mind I can wait it out.
3 - Find something to do with your hands while waiting - or try on some clothes

YEP Im right there with you. I've always had cravings though, but this month, for some reason, they are at full force! usually salty or maybe a cookie type craving. It sucks!!!
We can beat it though! I have been drinking a nice hot cup of tea with splenda and half and half. yep the yummy cream! my little splurge that helps keep things in check. better to drink than to eat in my book! but usually I munch on pumpkin seeds...but see thats my other addiction so its like fighting a binge with an addiction
I will conquer this viscious cycle sooner or later! hoepfully sooner!
Best Wishes
Elizabeth M
