Wow 9 pounds is truly great for the holidays! What an accomplishment!
Happy I threw away the crackle!!!! woo hoo! oh but it was hard going to my parents after work where all the goodies were. MAN it was hard! I am going to refrain though! grrr... those chocolate covered pretzels were calling me! Lord have mercy!
I am going to pick up my protein drinks since I just ran out and I think I am going to try a new protein drink just to kick things around and spice things up and have that Experimental feel something a little more exciting to get into the protein feel again. LOL. Need to buy more shrimp!

Hi Elizabeth;
I hope that your are proud of what you have done, because you certainly should be!!
I have not been a very good boy this Christmas..... Those cookies jumped into my mouth and slid down my throat by themselves.... I swear that they did
.... That's my story and I'm sticking with it!! LOL
But seriously folks.... the good news is that despite the evil I indulged in, I didn't gain any weight either. I think that I made up for it on my walks without realizing it. My wife and I both have been out of breath after our walks lately (which we hadn't been before) and the dog has been taking long post- walk naps! I feel that my clothes are getting looser, so I hope that I'm ready for another weight drop. Now that Christmas is behind me, I'm ready to get serious again... how about you???!!! Keep up the good work and Happy New Year to you and the rest of the "Marchers"!!!!
Mike

Isn't it cool to watch the whole diet industry rev up to swoop down and collect everyone's money and NOT be part of it. Not gaining during the holidays also means we get to miss this part -- that really depressing feeling when you see what you've done to yourself, then the resolutions, the attempt to lose weight yet again yada yada. It's so exhausting and WE DON'T HAVE TO DO IT.
I enjoyed the holidays for the first time in years because I wasn't too tired to do stuff, I didn't hate how I look and feel like I had to hide from every camera.
Some of the treats called to me a bit but I just remind myself that I need to get out there and experience more of what I can do. Between remembering to actually live my new life and keeping some protein on hand, it's possible to make better choices, I find.
