I'M FULL OF IT!
YES! Me too! And you know a friend of mine who had wls is also experiencing lots of gas. I have upped my protein lately so I hope thats what it is... but otherwise I haven't done anything different. I actually told my doc about it and she asked what I am eating to cause gas...I told her nothing different. So I need to cut down on the milky products which could trigger it. But yeah... it seems like anything I eat will cause me to fart.

Ah yes.... the dreaded gas question!
I've had this problem the whole time since surgery. I've asked both the Doc and the Nutritionist about it and they both said that it is normal and will disappear with time. Unfortunately, in my case it is getting worse!! I'm not one of the lucky ones who have the sneaky silent type. I'm playing loud trombone solos, so I can't even blame them on the dog!!!
At least I work the third shift, so my office is deserted for most of my shift. Sometimes the echos in the hallways are quite entertaining! I'm going to try some of the suggestions here and hope for fresher air and silent nights!

It's funny how we all have a different take on this. Here's mine: I think it's the calcium. I remember having this post-surgery if I ate too much dairy. Another thing that does it for me is "sugar free" stuff. Ever read the warning notice on anything that contains sugar alcohol? It can give you a mean case of the plop plops. Perhaps another thing is the amount of veggies we're eating. Here's what I do to relieve myself (get ready to laugh). I get on all fours and rock back and forth. OR, I go into a particularly loud part of the showroom and let it go. OR, I just walk around real fast. Hahahaha! DON'T hold it in...that's the worst! Hey, if this is the worst side affect I have with this surgery, I'm a happy camper! Joan
