Hello all, I was wondering how many calories is everyone getting in at this stage? I started to track my food intake again hopeing to jump start the weight loss (have'nt lost any inches or weight in a month). I realized that I am taking in about 1100 calories and somewhere around 100 carbs per day. That seems a little high the protein is running around 55-60 grams per day with out any protien shakes or supps. Is this correct? I have noticed that as I upped my work outs I subconcencly (sp) upped my food intake as well. I am getting ready to start trainging for a 10K called the Boulder Boulder here in CO and am concerned that as I step up the cardio again that I will again up the calorie and carb intake with out realizing it. Would love some imput. Thanks, Leslie P

I think I did the same thing. I seem to be able to eat more and I noticed that my carbs are increasing. I have hit my first real plateau so I think I need to reevaluate my intake as well. Seems to me if I go over 1000 calories a day I don't lose. Sounds like so little but I guess that is why I was heavy to begin with. The only thing I can say is I think I need to go back to really making an effort to make protein my first priority and put the carbs on the back burner again. Seems to me the more I let them creep in the more I find myself eating them.

Leslie, I'd really recommend the protein shakes to jump start the weight loss. Uping your protein intake will give your body the fuel it needs to burn fat and make muscles. I get 100 grams every day from my protein shakes and have been MUCH healthier since I started this. I'm still an UNJURY protein powder girl and guess I will be for the rest of my life. I mix it with any number of Crystal lite flavors so they don't get boring. I actually 'crave' them now. Guess my body 'knows' what it needs now...finally. I don't really count carbs, I get so few, but your calorie intake does seem about right. My trainer said to up the protein and calories if I upped my workout. Good luck in your 10K race!!
