Thank you so much! Recovery time is about 6 weeks. I don't work so thats not an issue for me. I do believe that my PS said most patients return to light duty work within 2-3 weeks. It all depends on the patient. Kelley

This procedure is circumferential (circular) in nature and involves the belly, hips, back, buttocks, and outer thighs. KELLY IF YOU DONT MIND ME ASKING WHAT WAS THE FIRST STEP TO GETTING THIS SURGERY AND WHAT DID YOU HAVE TO PROVE SO THE INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD PAY AND WHAT INSURANCE COMPANY

Hi Dawn, My gastric Bypass surgeon gave me a referral at my last appt with him. I made it past his goal so he said that I was ready to have the TT. I called up the PS that day and made an appt with him. My first appt was on 12/28, we didn't get everything done on that day because his secretary was out and things were crazy. I went back to see him on Jan 18 and finished off the appt. We talked about the surgery and why I needed and wanted it. All I did was tell him about the rashes that I got in my belly button. That was it. He took some pictures and I went on my merry way. 2 days later his secretary sent over the letter of medical necessity (skin rashes) with the pictures and that was it. Took them 4 weeks to approve it. I had no hassle with them at all. I had to do nothing. My PS office took care of everything. I myself am very shocked at how easy this went for me. I was prepared to fight a denial. The ins I have is through medicaid. Its Boston Health Net. Kelley 265/132
