Hi Marchers, Ok I am desperate to know is there anything you can do for bat wings besides surgery? I have almost exercised my arms off and I think the more weight I lose the worse they are looking. Just wondering? I am a little scared to wear a swimsuit this year of what will be floating up in the water when I am swimming. ha ha. Rhen

Rhen, Between the 4 rolls of extra skin off my butt...the ripples of skin from my inner thighs...and the flap of skin hanging from my elbow to my armpit...I'd more closely resemble a flying squirrel in the pool than a human!!! I wear a 4 nos but if people only knew what I looked like under them there clothes they'd run and HIDE!!! Well at least my belly is flat now...small consolation though...after envisioning the rest of me....sorry folks for the above visual imagery... Va

Rhen, I'm a hopeless case when it comes to batwings. Mine hang down four inches under my arms so there's no hope for me other than surgery. One of my aerobics instructors is a tiny woman in her 50's and very toned and buff. She still has a slight case of bat wings. I'm thinking that they're inevitable with age, add weight loss and it's just a hopeless situation. Small children could play hide and seek in the skin under my arms. Connie

I feel your pain, Rhen. I could sail a boat with what's under my arms. What's weird is that the top of my arms are very toned and chiseled, very pretty arms actually because of my workouts. In fact, I've never had such nice looking arms and shoulders! But the underarm skin is just disgusting. I keep trying to buy into the saying, "God gave women wings so they could fly." I don't think my wings are what He had in mind, though! Wish I had better news. My very rigorous workout regimen has not toned up that skin at all so I'm afraid surgery is the only answer. Reenie

Unfortunately I am in the same boat. I have gone from 293 to 133 lbs. (I am 5'8") and my body fat is 18.6%. My upper arms and shoulders are sculpted and quite lovely in my estimation and then there is this crepy skin hanging to my elbows out of my short sleeves. It is gross. I am putting Strivectin on them as well as other stretch marks and my face to see if it helps at all. It better at $135 a tube.

Duct tape is pretty much the only thing I can think of that will do the trick! I have a LOT of plastics to get getting in the near future...I can certainly empathize! Dina

Thanks everyone for your replies! At least I got a good laugh. Well I guess it will be surgery for me or long sleeve shirts in 100 deg. weather. Hey maybe that will help continue with the weight lose. Well like you all said at least I'm looking much better and glad not to be 305 lbs now. Good Luck Fellow Marchers!!!! Talk to you soon again.
