Back from Belt Lipectomy...

Hi Guys, I am back from my belt lipectomy.....Ouch!!!!!This really hurts!!!!!!....It actually hurts more than what my Gastric Bypass did. I should not complain too much because everyday it does get better,,,,but boy let me tell you...it's not easy. There is no way for me to sit, lay or even stand it just plain hurts!!!!!!...I can't wait till this pain goes away!!!!!..I am happy with the results but it's very painful!!!!!!!!..The pain has got me thinking about the other upcoming surgeries - like my arms, breasts...I don't know if I could through pain like this again!!!!..I do not want to discourage anybody from having this done but make sure you ask for all the pain meds in the world. Please keep me in your prayers & thoughts!!! Edna 255/130/???

Hi Edna, welcome home! I'm so sorry you're in so much pain, however, I can't wait to get this flapping skin off! Hopefully will learn of insurance determination this week. By the way, did insurance cover the entire procedure for you? Did you have to appeal or was it just approved, and what is your insurance company? Oh my my my......I have heard a lot about how painful these are. I know I will still want mine done, but boy, I don't look forward to it. I'll be into some major pain meds THAT time. Feel better soon....I hope you can get some rest. Dina
