Well I finally had to have a revision surgery on AUG 26th. COuld not go any longer with not being able to eat. THe good side to having the stricutes this whoel time basically is that I have lost 315 lbs. I started this process probably the heaviest of anyone on this board at 500lbs and I am now down to 185. I woudl say I am past goal now being that I may lose about 10 to 15 lbs if I was to have plastic surgery and being 6 foot tall, I could probably stand to gain just a bit of weight. NEver though I would say that ever again, needing to gain weight. Revision surgery went alot easier than first surgery, was out of hospital in only 2 days this time, no leaks, incision healing nicely again. Surgeon was nice and went right over top my old incision line. Open RNY is always a bit tough. But now I did not have the extra 315 lbs hanging around and holding me down when trying to get up. It was nice to be inthe hospital as since I was up and moving veryu soon after surgery, I was able to talk to a couple of different patients that had the surgery with my DR. HE had a total of about 13 patients on the floor the Friday I was in there ( he;s pretty busy). But I was able to share some of my experiences with some of those people and at least it seemed to me kind of brighten their spirits, in being able to let them know that what they did was the right decision and that it will work for them if they follow what the DR tells them to do. And that it willget better with time. Also they wer amazed to find out I ws there for gastric bypass revison, and encouraged to see and hear of the amount of weight loss I have had. Everyone just needs to remember that this is jsut a tool. I know people say it allthe time, but it is true, in the long run we have to make a decision as to what we put in our mouths and bodies. I woud imagine it gets more difficult as time goes on, although I have not run into that as I was always closing up. but jsut try to remember what got us all here and the things we woudl do when we were not that far out of surgery. Hopefully everyone will be able to adjust to the changes that come with time and be able to be happy with theirselves. I am sure everyone can as you have made it this far. Good luck to everyone, and I hope everything goes great for everybody. This board was ike a lifesaver right out after surgery. I was always on here checking posts, responding and the such. Jus would like to say thanks to everyone who has every posted or read a post etc for taking the time to listen to what in the beginning would be a stranger had to say.

Charles, your story is remarkable and reminds us once again that it's not about the numbers, losing weight, it's about achieving optimum health, both in body and spirit. I am very happy things went well for you and, by the way, your posts have always been full of genuine spirit and care for each of us. I thank you, as well, for being a part of my journey. Please keep posting. None of us have ever been a stranger to one another. God bless and take care, Reenie
