Well, hernia surgery for me Mon after Thanksgiving

I saw the doctor today and he confirmed what I already knew. Open hernia surgery on the Monday after Thanksgiving. This was not the way I had planned to spend the holidays, but in a way it beats working!!! The good news is that he said that barring complications, I should be able to go diving in mid Jan! I will be in Nebraska visiting my in-laws all next week, then surgery right after I get back, so don't worry if there is a longer silent period here. The signin process here is driving me crazy--I may end up being ARCookie (if I can sign in at all!) Please say a prayer for me... Joy

Hi Joy, Sorry about your news, but, I bet you will be up at feeling so much better, and very quickly. Do let us know as soon as you can how you are feeling. I agree I don't know why these people keep thinking they needto change stuff. It just makes it more complicated to get anything done. I hate it. It is never easier like they say it will be.
