Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. It's early and the snow is falling in Connecticut, so beautiful, our first snow fall of the season...I was up at the crack of dawn and went out to the barn to feed our horses. The only sound was the snow crunching under my feet, otherwise the peace of the morning was intoxicating. A gift. So much to be thankful for... as my two ponies inhaled their grain as if it was the last meal they would ever know, I thought about the day. I will be cooking for the four of us as always as we have no family around. I will make the full feast and enjoy it with my family but if I can maintain the sense of peace I feel right now, I will be okay...last year I dumped on that single bite of pumpkin pie. This year, I just want to concentrate on my new body, the way the curves feel at my waist, the strength I have built up in my legs and arms, all of it...and just be thankful...no other pressures, just peace today. Just be at peace. I wish you all love and happiness today. And peace. Love to you, your Reenie

Happy Thanksgiving back to you my friend. It is a nice day here in Florida. To get up into the 70's. Alton and I have a morning together which is very nice. I made breakfast this morning. I am now about to go get mom and then finish up my cooking. Part of the family is getting together at noon. I am cooking most of the dinner. Do you finanicial situations, we have provided most of the food. But that is ok. We just want everyone together. The ladies might take the little ones to the movies this afternoon to see Chicken Little and the guys will do some type of "guy"thing. As the guys are the "outlaws" in the family, we want them to do some male bonding. Have a great day everyone.

Ditto My friends, Blessing are plenitful this year & I feel grateful for this board as one of the biggest. You have all been great friends & let us stick together like glue, so we make it for next year. I did not have to cook today, Went out to Dinner & brough half of it home. (enchalada's) as I did not want the traditional Turkey Dinnner. Go figure. Stay Healthy, Stay Happy & May God Bless you & all of your Families this holiday season. Marilyn, the Bearlady

Hi all! I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving and didn't suffer too much "Food Stress"!! My Thanksgiving was very nice. One of the things that I had to be thankful for was that my In-laws were able to make it despite the snow and the fact that they are both in their mid 80's! Both of my parents are dead and these folks have been a wonderful substitute for me! I am blessed with In-Laws that I like and enjoy rather than the In-laws that so many people rage about!! I managed to get through the day without going totally overboard with the eating. I took in more calories than normal, but nothing to stress out about. Something I need to keep in mind is that although I'm struggling with food issues, I have much to be thankful for. I just need to think back to a couple of Thanksgivings ago when I was beating myself up about eating too much once again and feeling no hope of ever being anything but a fat guy without a future. Take care and stay well, my friends. Mike
