Let's Help Each Other
Ok folks,
Here is my proposition. Let's all log on to the board every Friday, Monday, Saturday... what ever works best for the majority of us and log our daily calorie total for each day and work out total each day for everyone to see. This way it helps to be more dilegent when we have to report to someone else on our progress. In edition each of us tells something good that happened that week for us... too us....or that we did for someone else... what ever that way we can look back on the week and see that regardless of how we did that week something good happened to us and that will help everyone's moral as we work on this as a team!!!
Like Mike said the BUCK STOPS HERE! we are all having problems with the same issues so lets work as a team, not as an island to get back on track.
So it would look something like this:
Monday-1015 Cals/30-min cardio
Tuesday-1200 cals/30 min cardio + 20 min weights
Wednesday-1250 cals/20 min cardio
Thursday-1030 cals/60-min bike ride outside
Friday-1600 cals (were being honest here remember)/no excersise
Saturday-1230 cals/35-min cardio+ 20 min weights
Sunday-1300 Casl/day off from excersise
This week I helped an old blind person cross the street. OR I saw an old friend that did not recognize me and said how fabulouse I looked.
The only person that can fix you is you but it's a lot more fun to work as a group while you get there. What do you think? Do I have any takers?
Leslie

Im in!
I haven't been counting my calories but I think its around 1400 to 1600 a day. Fruits, vegis, protein. I do weight and measure so the calorie amount that I think it is is pretty accurate give or take a few. My problem is the excerse. I had a minor car accidnet 3 weeks ago and am still not allowed to excersise yet. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks its back to the gym.
wed. intake! B. 1/2 cup oatmeal, milk, 3 packets of splenda, banana
S. protein bar
L. peanut butter & 8 low fat crackers
S. soy crispys & cheese stick
D. hamburger & butternut squash.
I'll probably have a snack later some cottage cheese with fresh strawberrys is my favorite right now. and I drink drink drink water water water.
My doctors news letter said that the chewy calcium squares aren't the right ones. that some of us aren't obsorbing them well. so i tryed to find the kind he said to use. I found them they said they were a coated caplet. which to me would imply that they were a tiny little pill. i've not taken any pills since my surgery 20 months ago so imagine my surprise when I opened the bottle to find horse tablets!!!!! these things were huge!!! i cut them up and tried to get one down. couldn't do it. used up a whole glass of water and onlyh could get 1/2 of it down. then i was full and couldn't eat supper! maybe those horse pills have a added bonus to taking them??? anyone find chewys that are obsorbed better?
Pamela,
I take the Cinnamon Chewable Calcium Citrate tablets made by Bariatric Advantage. They also come in Chocolate and Mint. They are 400 mg each, and they have Vitamin D, Magnesium and Vitamin K in each tablet. I order them on-line at www.bariatricadvantage.com . They taste soooo good! I take two in the morning and eat one more at dinner. You cannot take them when you take iron (which I take at noon with my multivitamin) and my labs have been great.
Good Luck!
Hugs,
Karen
OK Leslie,
I'm not too good at calorie counting, but I'll give it a try. I don't have a weeks worth ready, but I figure about 1200 calories for yesterday along with a 3mile fast-paced walk and 30 minutes of upper-body workout.
I figure that today I'll come in at about 1300 calories. My nutritionist says that guys can get away with up to 1500, but I'm trying to keep it below that. I did not walk today because of rain and a doctor's appointment, but I did my 30 minutes of upper body exercise.
Mike
HI Leslie,
I don't count calories either, but, when I was posting what I ate on
another board was losing weight. So I will do that & maybe if I count
calories for a change Will know why I haven;t been losing any weight.
I will keep track of what I eat today & post tomorrow & will start from there. I agree this might work for a lot of us. All we can do is try, Right!!
