Topic: RE: ????? about FLAXSEEDS.
I had bought flaxseeds and I was told to freeze them and then when i use them to grind them in a coffee grinder and have about 3 tablespoons a day, somepeople I heard put it in their morning oatmeal.
I have no experience with it because I have never tried or started it.
I also am unsure of why and how it helps?
But seeing y0ur question made me remeber I have the flax seed in my freezer I also this time will hopefully follow up with it.
I believe Dame Tooter has some info on flaxseed.
Also if you type in the search field Flaxseed you may get some answers.
Keep me posted too!

Topic: B-12 nasal spray???
I just recently went to my primary care doctor and he took my blood work. Well sugar level fine, thyroid level fine and blood pressure and everything was fine, except by B-12 was very low.
He made me come in for an injection and then he gave me a prescription for a nasal spray i need to spray in one nostril one week and then the next week spray it in the other. so basically one squirt of nasal B-12 spray a week.
I have never heard of B-12 spray and everyone who talks about B-12 either gives themselves a shot or goes to their doctor for a shot.
ANYONE KNOW OF A B-12 NASAL SPRAY?
and if we can absorb it??
Thanks ALL!
Sheryl
either way let me know if you have or have not or know anything about B-12 nasal spray?

Thanks Mary Ellen. I guess I just sometimes think......is this it........is this all I will lose. It is as if I lose faith in myself......which I just should not do. I'm sure thankful for all of you out there who keep cheering me on and inspiring me. Have a great day! And I'm cheering you on too!

Hi Robin. I know it's so easy to get bummed out when you read about those who have lost so much more than we have, but I'm right where you are! I started at 282, was 276 day of surgery and am now between 192 and 194 depending on the day. And I exercise daily (maybe excessively) and am totally anal about what I eat. A woman in my WLS program had about the same amount to lose as I did and didn't exercise nearly as much as I did, and yet she lost 130lbs in like 7 months. Very depressing to me. But I just try to keep reminding myself that this is a marathon for me, not a sprint. So long as I get to a healthy place in the end, I don't think it will matter to me how long it took me to get there. I try to think of all the things I can do now that I couldn't do 10 months ago, and I start feeling better about what I've lost. You CAN do it, because I know I CAN and WILL do this. This whole thing has been a giant battle for me since I was 10 weeks out, but I am determined to lose what I need to lose and never gain it back. Keep your chin up and be proud of what you have done. If we don't get to 100lbs by our one year anniversaries, we will get there eventually. I'm certain of it. Keep plugging away! Take care.

Topic: Down in the Dumps
Hi,
Was just reading everyone's posts and you are all doing so well.
My surgery was 3/8/05 and I'm down 87 pounds. I seem to have stalled out for about 2 months now. Weight goes up and down within 3 pounds. In that time I have lost about 5 inches and I know that is good too, but it is soooo hard when you do not see the scale move.
I've been reading about some of you losing 100 pounds and more who were around the same weight as I was pre-surgery. I don't think I'll hit 100 pounds by my first anniversary and I just am so depressed about that.
My surgeon's nurse is very pleased with my progress. I have made lifestyle changes so why do I feel so down? I know that I really should look at how far I've come. It's just been so tough.
Thanks for listening.

Congratulatins!!!
Isn't it wonderful to be in normal sizes? I myself am wearing some 12's but mostly still 14's but so happy with it. I think it's wonderful for us as women to feel sexy in our clothing again. You keep up the great work.

Topic: Almost to my goal!!!!!!!!! Down 12 sizes!
I set a personal goal of 150 pounds before my surgery. I had little hope of obtaining it after a lifetime of yo-yo dieting. Well, yesterday I weighed in at 155!!!!!!!!! I was so happy! I'd been on an 165 plateau for weeks. I took a trip to my sisters house whose still waiting for VocRehab to approve her surgery. Instead of stopping at the gas stations for munchies, I took along baggies filled with fresh fruit & veggies and unsalted raw peanuts and beef jerky. It was a 865 miles trip alone except for my precious Pug, Nikki and the Pug puppy I was taking to my sister.
On the trip home, I stopped at one of the numerous outlet stores to shop as a reward to my being so close to my goal. I'd been wearing 16's and they were getting so loose. BUT no so loose as my pre-surgery 24 jeans which fell off me the last time I wore them!!!!
Tried on the 16 Lee's & Wranglers: way too big!!!! Tried on the 14's and still too big!!!!!!!!!!! Tried on the 12's and WOWWWWWWWW!!! They fit perfectly! Infact I went back and got a pair of the "low rise" jeans. I feel so sexy in them! Can't wait to try them on for my Husband!
Not like the old jeans that came up to my armpits!!!!!
Now my next goal to to see a plastic surgeon to see if I can get a breast reduction approved!!!!!
