Terry,
That is great news! The holidays were tough on me, too. The traveling and family don't make for the best eating and exercise choices. 150 seems entirely within your reach! Won't you be skinny!!! Congratulations!

Keri,
That is great news
I know just how you feel. I got into size 16's a few weeks ago. First time in years. You are doing great in your weight loss.

Okay I got into the size 16's today. OH MY GOSH!! I don't ever remember being a size 16. Maybe when I was in 6th grade. If I ever get out of this plus sizes, I'm not going to know what to do with myself (let alone where to shop) What's really weird is that I weigh 209 and about 10 years ago I weighed 180 and was a size 18 then. Guess that tells you how much extra skin there is. (yuck) Anyways, just wanted to share my excitement with all of you.

Congratulations Terry on your weight loss so far. You know they say anthing is possible so just keep on going for that goal. I hope to be 164 by my 45th birthday this year as well in May. But you know what? If I don't that's o.k too because I am sooo much healthier and happier with my body than I think I have ever been in my life. Keep up the good work Terry.

Ok now that I am at goal 129 I have to maintain this for the rest of my life right? My weight wants to keep sliding downward. I realize I have to eat alot more than I want too! I never thought I would say that!! Do any of you have these issues yet? I am 5'3. I used to weigh 229! I went to Hawaii to celebrate. I wore a bikini for the first time since I was a teenager. Today at 43 I feel awesome.
But what about maintanence? anyone got any ideas on this aspect of our journey????
Melanie

I love the anniversaries too---March 15 here--and it was wonderful--got up that morning and fleetingly saw 199.8 on the scale--course I have not seen it since then but it was nice it made an appearance for my 10 mth anniv.
This journey has been great--would not trade any of it in---And then silly me can't wait for it to end---want to see the final product!

II love Brenda too! She is the nurse I always ask for when I call the bariatric center with questions. I usually attend the support group at Unity on the first Thursday of every month. The support group is truly my life line. It is so great being with people who are going through the exact same things I am. I have made a lot of good friends there. It is a lot of fun seeing how much weight everyone has lost. I'm not sure if I will make it to February's meeting because I am leaving town the next morning. However, I will keep an eye out for you at March's meeting. I would love to meet you in person. If you need anyone to chat with, please e-mail me. I have bad days too, when I need some moral support. Those last few pounds are tough to lose!

That sounds so exciting! My gift to myself for reaching my goal weight is a South-Western Caribbean cruise with my best friend, Jane. We are departing on 2/6/05 from Fort Lauderdale and will be white water rafting in Costa Rica and canopy diving (swinging through the jungle on bungee cords) in Belize. If someone told me a year ago that I would be doing those things I wouldn't have believed it. Now I say, "Bring it on!!!"
I hope you have a great week!

121 lbs gone. That's amazing! You should be so proud of yourself. One thing about losing weight in Minnesota is that it feels so much colder without the extra insulation.
