Topic: RE: Eating alot
There are times where I feel I can eat alot too. I try to keep my meals to three times a day still and that seems to keep me in check. I also started following weigh****chers just to make sure I wasn't eating too much. I just about never eat all the points I should but at least I know I am not overeating. My weight loss averages about a pound or two a week so I must be doing something right. Kerri

Topic: RE: I suck at weightloss...
90lbs is really good. It still amazes me that people get so discouraged at their weight loss. The way I see it, any weight I lose is an accomplishment. You also have lost sooooo many inches. I mean I've lost more weight than you and I started at about a size 30 and I'm in a 20 now. And you are in a 16. So even though I've lost more weight, you've lost more inches. I would love to be in a size 16!!!! Don't worry about how fast everyone else is losing. And don't give into those temptations either. You will regret it big time. Keep at what you are doing and you will do fine. Kerri 341/218/160

Hi Terry CONGRATULATIONS I feel the same way, it doesn't seem like I could have lost over a 100 lbs, yet I don't recognize myself either. I worry I won't be able to get to goal constantly. I get a little depressed lately because I feel like I look sort of hagard..... like I don't look right. I don't even know how to describe it really. I think its normal to go through all this though. keep your chin up! Scarlette

Topic: RE: when does it stop?
I am 49 - had my surgery March 30th - Am down from 258 to 155 and I know what you mean - I have loose skin under my neck and now when I go to Kroger they offer me the 55 year old senior citizen's discount! When I complain to my friends, they just laugh and tell me to take the discount. I also have the hanging skin on my arms and have the "stomach apron". I think I look "ok" in my clothes, but terrible without them! Also, because of the stomach, it is hard to get pants to fit right - when they fit around stomach they are too big in legs and seat. However, I do feel much better physically so I can deal with it. Will check into seeing if insurance will pay for tummy tuck next year but will have to live with it if they won't. Good luck to you!

I am down about the same amount as you, and even though I feel a lot better, and people say I look great, I think I look older. I have this sagging skin under my neck and my thighs and upper arms look awful. (I turned 50 in April)

Topic: RE: PLATEAU BLUES!!!! ANY IDEAS???
My starting weight was 242. My now Stablized weight since 10-04-2005 has been 168. A 74 pound weight loss in six in a half months. I am 5 ft 7. I'am happy now at this weight. After my hernia repair and possible TT, I will look better at the 168 weight. I don't want to be to thin for my age or I skin might look to wrinkled. Without my surgeron and the grace of God I would have probely never been able to see myself at 168 again.

Topic: Weight-loss and change
Hello Marchers, I feel differently than I thought I would about this weight-loss. On the surface, I knew that losing this weight wouldn't make my life extremely different and that I would continue to have all my same problems. Subconsciencously, tho, I think I believed that being thinner would make a huge difference. I was surprised to discover that being overweight was symptom of my problems, not my actual problem. I thought that being overweight caused my low self-esteem and fear of almost every change. Turns out that my low self-esteem and fear of change caused my weight problem. I find that I am now determined to change my life now that I can more clearly see why I do the things that I do. I am still scared of everything, but in the last few months, I have forced myself to face my fears and have fun with my life. With each new situation and fear that I face, I am more confident and I feel better about myself. However, as I change how I deal with my life, my relationships with friends and family change, too, and it is difficult for all of us. Becky
