Hi Pamela
Don't feel bad you're not the only one in slow mo,join the club .I've been at plateau two months 212 gain and lost a couple lbs and it is driving me crazy.I've been reading everyone post and most of them lost over 100lb.I'm trying to do that for my birthday but I don't think i'm going to make it,its so depressing.Eat the recommend protein/day(60-90g/day),try to drink 8glass of water a day,I also excercise 4x a week and still at a plateau so I'll try take it in stride and hope I'll break. Now to but a wrench to the whole thing I fell at work and sprain my back.If it ain't one thing its another.I wish you luck and keep your hopes up you will break that plateau.

I read your profile. You say that your doctor said you would lose between 84-112 pounds. You are close to his prediction. I don't see how tall you are, so I don't know what "goal" is for you. I have seen a lot of people say that the last few pounds is difficult. You are certainly not a failure. You are losing just as your doctor says you should, even with all these health problems. As for increasing your weight-loss, if you are under 900 calories a day, that can slow things. You can also try eating every 3-4 hours. Make sure to drink 70+ ounces of water a day. Take all of your vitamins. Also, steriods will make you retain water, so that may explain the increase in your weight. You can try to not add salt to the food you cook to even things out. (I take steroids, and I retain water, too, if I am not careful about salt). Good luck, and feel better soon. Every couple of weeks, I freakout about my weight, too. Most of us do. You're not alone in this.

yeah, that's how i am with larges--they fit, but i'm not comfortable with my bulges so i'd rather get an XL. though every now and then i try an XL and it's just entirely too big. last week i had to pick up some PJ's at target (was on thanksgiving vacation and forgot to pack any!) and i just grabbed an XL off the rack w/out trying them on. they ended up being HUGE, i am SO GLAD they shrank in the wash!

you're definitely more athletic-framed than i! i think this was a good post, it made me realize all the factors that go into how clothing fits different people, and how 2 people of the same height and weight can have an entirely different body makeup. thanks!

yeah, i'm medium framed (at least by wrist measurement) so my weight is probably more bulked than yours. i am however very thankful that my already small boobs (42B or occasionally C depending on the fit) have stayed put. they're a little saggy and my B cups don't fit as snugly as they once did, but it's not a huge difference. at least now i'm finally back in the 30's--it was so hard to find B cups in band sizes over 40! (i'm now a 38B)

yeah, i suspect we all have clothing issues b/c of the extra skin. i've decided to wait on plastic surgery until after we have more kids (well, actually just want one more) so i'll be frustrated w/that for a while.
i'm thrilled to have come as far as i have, but just a little disappointed that i'm not seeing magical numbers as far as sizes. other people have been shocked when i say i'm still in a 16, but i still feel fat. guess when you've been the fat girl for 20 years it's hard to stop feeling like you are. i just have to remember that 16 is WAY better than 26!

Everyone is so different- its amazing.
today I weigh 185 and can fit a 14 and some 12s. Extra large outfits are too big- ha- too big. A regular large is perfect. I can put on a medium size top but too many flaws show up (if you know what I mean). Maybe after 20-30 more lbs I will fit that 10 some others are wearing.
