Topic: Sick of this roller coaster ride!
I am getting really discouraged here lately. My weight fluctuates between the same 3-4 lbs for weeks and I get so stressed out. Like I was 195, then 197, then 196, 198,195,etc..... its driving me crazy. Its does this and then eventually I'll lose a lb or two then the roller coaster ride starts all over again. I eat 1000 calories per day per my nutritionist, I work out 3 - 4 times a week (cardio and weight training), drink tons of water and get in my protein..... why is my weight loss so slow? I keep worrying that I'm all done and I still have another 45 lbs to my surgeons goal. Is it just me? Don't get me wrong I am grateful for the weight I've lost so far, but at 5'2" tall I'm still obese. Scarlette

Tyshea, I have noticed that I am more "moist" as well. I do notice that certain undies seem to make me feel more contained and if I go without underwear, it does feel different than 110 pounds ago. I do know that when the do a TT they pull up the pubic area as well to firm it up. Maybe that will help. As far as something not feeling right, could it be bladder prolapse? I know a lot of women say that when they drop the weight, the bladder kind of drops and has to be "tacked" back up. HTH, Terri

You're absolutely right, nurses are the worse patients, right up there with doctors! So glad things are getting back to norm for you now. Have a safe and uneventful recovery. Becca RNY March 2005 Holton, KS

Topic: ? for all women Men Beware !!!
I had my surgery on March 3 2005 since then i have lost 115 pounds from the last time i wieghed myself. What i have been noticing though is that i can feel my vagina all the time and what i mean about that is i can feel my lips separating when i walk, when i am sitting down just about anything where my legs have to move and it is becoming so bothersome. I have changed the type of underwear i wear, i find that i am really so much more moist down there as well as feeling moist i just feel like its something going on down there that shouldnt be. But let me say that i have been checked by my gyn so i have no infections(STD's, or anyother problems assoicated with down there) i did have a small yeast infection but that was about a month ago and i was just prescribed the one day pill. But i must say in the past 3-4 weeks the feeling have been getting very noticeable and bothersome. I hope this wasnt TMI but i had to ask. If anyone has noticed these same problems please dont be afraid to post or you could always email me. Thanks Tyshea 315/200/150

Meg, Sorry to hear you went through such a bad time. Sounds pretty scary. I know I'm always a little concerned about a complication because I was a self-pay and don't think my insurance would cover any expenses due to surgery. Hope you are feeling better and on the road to recovery. corgimom
