Wow.......I've been in the same boat. For 3 weeks, nothing, then 2 pounds off and then back up the 2 pounds. Went to see my doc for my 6 month checkup and they said to up my exercise. Although we are all frustrated it was so good to read all of you are going through the same thing. I sure hope it starts dropping off again soon.
We will all get there. I'm so thankful for this site.

Hi Jessica,
You are not alone! I have had a couple of 3 week plateaus. One time the scale said I lost six pounds in three days, meaning I weighed 290 on Monday and on Thursday I weighed 284. Weird! Then...then! When the scale went up one pound 2 weeks ago, my head went, "OK! THAT'S IT! THE FUN IS OVER! WE'RE CREEPING BACK UP AGAIN!" Because that is sure what my history was before surgery. I know intellectually that if I keep doing what I'm supposed to be doing, the weight will come off. I do not even own a scale, so it's not like I'm constantly watching. I go once a week and weigh at my PCP's office. It feels like the weight loss is slowing down a bit now. I have to keep telling the freaking-out part of my self that it'll all be OK. Still ****** me off sometimes, too though! Thanks for your post. Hang in there!

Have spent the last month and half (!) doing the Yo-Yo dance with my weight ... I was 6 mo on Sept 30th. I've been totally upset over it cause I could just hear the minutes ticking by that I could be losing (have so much to lose I need every second of this opportunity!). Someone told me to up my calories (slightly) and up my water intake and that would bump me off this plateau, so I gave it a try. At first nothing, and then in the last 8 days, -9 lbs are gone! I'm hoping I'm on a downward course again, FINALLY.

Hey, Chris!
Your story caused me to flash on a memory of earlier this week. I had just stepped outside, as I got off work, to discover that it was pouring rain. I took off for my car. Not only did I get there quicker than I could have in 20 years, I wasn't even winded!
Brother, these are fun times, are they not?

Topic: WOW Moment
I had a wonderful WOW moment this week while playing in the backyard with my kids (7 months ago I wouldn't even have been able to "play in the backyard with my kids"). I was playing catch (football) with my son and we decided to start playing a little touch football. He threw me a "kickoff" and I took off running towards him to return it. My 5 year old daughter was in shock! She said, "Daddy, you ran!". In her whole life, she had never seen her father run. Pretty sad. But thank God I was able to get this surgery and turn things around. I am down over 184 pounds in 7 months and feeling great. Hope everyone is doing well, I have been so busy at work that I haven't done much posting or reading lately. Keep on losing!
