Hey Marchers....I finally made it! Got so excited when I stepped on the scale this morning and saw 199 that I did the happy dance. It was 3 a.m. and my DH thought something was seriously wrong the way I was carrying on
When I told him the great news he calmly said that he knew it would happen today and was thrilled for me that it did.
I have been reading about you all finding your knee's, shoulders and hips having bones that none of us have seen in along time and I am just thrilled for all of us. It amazes me what this surgery has done for my life and my outlook on life. I have my 6 month visit with the surgeon on Wednesday and am looking forward to that so we can reset my goal weight to something more reasonable than 126!!!!!
Congrats to all of us Marchers...even tho I don't post often I always read what is going on. Your support is always there with me and I so appreciate you all!
Big Smiles!!

I am happy with my weight loss and greatful for this surgery. I am not losing as fast as others, but I am still losing. I started wearing 28 pants and 4x shirts. I'm now is size 16 pants and wearing 1x/2x shirts. I hit the onderlands just a bit ago and was so happy. The last time I was below 200 was when I got married in '87. My next big goal is the century club, only 10 more pounds and I'll be there. Other than my constant battle with constipation, all is well
I've lost 66 pounds since I had my surgery and 90 pounds all together. I count all my weight loss, because I have had to work hard for all of it

Listen to your doctor. If it gets strangled in the weak point of your incision and the blood supply gets cut off, you could have that part of your intestine die. I could happen while you are sleeping and not even aware of it. If the "strangled" gut slips back in the body, it can cause gangrene or an infection. If that part of the intestine dies, you'd probably have to have a colostomy till the repaired intestine heals after the "dead" area is cut out.
HAVE IT FIXED ASAP.
I'm a nurse. Having the hernia repaired is a far cry from the infection, pain and life threatening catastrophe of putting off a simple hernia repair.
