Topic: Dreading the one year visit...
Hi! I was supposed to have my one year today, but forgot to get my bloodwork done....thats scheduled for Monday now, then I can reschedule my one year.
However. I have been on such a plateau.....I have only lost 10-15 pounds from my check up in October. I had such an amazing weight loss in my first 6 months....than it really slowed down untill 9 months...and now....ugh.
I can only blame lack of excercise....I don't think I am doing badly at food....not eating alot of carbs, as a matter of fact I think I am going to turn into a chicken or a string cheese! I have slacked in my exercise since my best friend got pregnant and couldn't exercise with me....plus...damn, I've been cold this winter. No Insulation anymore! I haven't been walking the dog as much because I have been freezing to death. excuses, and thank all the gods it warming up so I can go play tennis again.
Anyway. I am so afraid I'm gonna go in there and get beat with a stick because I am only down 15 pounds more. Then again maybe a stick would be good.
My personal goal is 200, and I am jumping around 225 - 232 at any given time. My surgeons goal is 169....which I don't feel I need to be, but that's his goal.
I am happy where I am. I can do whatever I want in regards to...well anything...exercise....I can do it, just getting me there is the issue
.
Anywho...I guess I just needed to whine....did anyone ACTUALLY get beaten with a stick (figuratively, of course?) Am I just being silly?
THanks for listening!

Topic: RE: What do you eat?
Well let's see...Here's what I am eating today.
B: 20oz sugar free vanilla nonfat latte - 210 calories
S: South Beach Diet southwestern breakfast wrap and drinking my sugar free punch with some unjury added - 160 calories for the wrap and about 80 or so for the drink
L: shrimp ensalada with salsa dressing from baja fresh - about 250 calories
S: probably some fruit - about 100 calories
D: I have physical therapy tonight so probably gonna eat out again..maybe subway..which means another salad. - about 250 calories
S: probably won't do another snack but if I do it will be South Beach diet oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (i love their cookies) - 100 calories
So that adds up to 1150 calories if I eat the cookies. Fairly high in protein too..this adds up to about 100grams of protein. As far as exercise..I wear a pedometer and try to get over 10,000 steps a day but I did just buy this new sorta like a pedometer but it measures all of your physical activity and you can monitor everything online. I won't get it for a few weeks but that should help with me to keep up on my exercise. This is a pretty average meal for me every day. I seem to still be losing at least a pound a week sometimes 2 or 3 if I've been really good. Hope this helps.

Topic: You are my Future and I am your Past!
I just thought I'd pop in and see what things would look like a year from now - they kinds of things I might very well be talking about - the few posts I read made me so thrilled I want to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming! Will your reality become mine? Is this really where I'm heading??? I knew coming to my future would be a good idea, my nerves feel better...........thank you for doing nothing more then being your healthy self!
Best Regards,
Tammy

Corgimom, here's a normal day menu.
breakfast - 1 piece of multigrain toast, topped with 2 tbsp low fat peanut butter and one sliced banana (I'm so addicted to this breakfast)
snack - two mozzerella sticks
Lunch - one pack healthy heart microwavable oatmeal
dinner - 3/4 cup of refried beans with cheese
Water and supplements are spread throughout the day.
Hope this helps. If your anything like me, your pretty bored with the food choices. I feel as if I always eat the same thing. Really need to start giving myself more of a variety. I'm getting in between 1000 and 1200 calories. Some day less. Always shoot for at least a 1000. Exercise has been slacking, but I'm getting ready to kick myself in the rear to get motivated again. The weather is getting nicer, and I'm in the mood to walk. Good luck in your journey.

Topic: What do you eat?
Hello,
I feel like I've done nothing but complain over the last few months of not losing. It's been frustrating but for the most part my own doing.
I was wondering if other Marcher's could post what they eat in a normal day? About how many calories are you getting in? How much exercise are you doing?
I appreciate any feedback.

Greg,
OMG! you look so different. Both you and your wife look great. It doesn't seem like a year does it? You have done so well and are an inspiration to me. My one year anniversary was last week - down 127 but still about 30 more to go. Been stuck in a rut for two 1/2 months.
You've done so well, I'm sure you are very proud!
take care,
