Hi Billie, First of all, CONGRATULATIONS! i will pray that you have a very healthy pregnancy and baby! You probably already know but there is a very active pregnancy & WLS board on this site - go back to the front page & click on member forums to find it. Second of all, looky there, we had surgery on the very same day! You are doing great with 130 pounds lost! I'm at 117 and hoping to lose about 70 more or so. Good luck to you, and please keep us posted! Kat C

Topic: RE: Home from Hospital after Revision surgery
Eileen, Thanks for posting. I'm trying to get an ulceration on "the suture line to my pouch" healed. It's apparently been ccentered around an 'errant suture', been there since just after my RNY last March, and it's not getting better. In December, my surgeon did an endoscopy to check on it, and it's grown larger. I'm to have another scope done in about 3 more weeks, and if there's been no healing, the surgeon said we'd have to try "alternative methods" ... no further explanation. It's been in the back of my head that I might be facing a revisional surgery to fix this, but until I read your post I've not really wanted to let myself think about that. Does this mean you're having to start over from scratch with eating methods? Did your surgeon have any suggestions as to why it might have occurred? I'm so glad I saw your post today, because I see my surgeon on Thursday, and I'll be better prepared with questions. Hope you feel better soon!! And thanks again for posting. -Myra

Hey guys. Sorry it's been forever since I came to visit. The 28 will be 10 months out. I've lost about 130 lbs. Just found out I'm pregnant. Home test Sunday was positive, but we don't know how far along, so the Dr. did a sonogram today at my first appt. He didn't see anything in the sonogram, so he thinks we are probably only a couple of weeks along. He took blood to run tests and will redo the sonogram on Feb 7, so hopefully he can give us a due date then. Pray for a healthy one guys! Please!! Thanks, Billie

Yeah!!! Sorry to hear about the appendix but the weight loss is great!!! You should be pretty close to goal, shouldn't you? My doc still wants me to lose another 20lbs. I've been on a plateau here for a little over a month and it's driving me crazy. Welcome to the century club. Toni 267/159

I sometimes feel the same as you. I am so tired of gaining and loosing the same pound. I have lost 95 and know that is great because I feel wonderful now BUT when you hear others talk about the 100 or more pounds they have lost it is depressing. I need to keep thinking "I am doint great" I am doing great". We will eventually get where we want to be.

I hear ya honey, darn plateaus! It really seems next to impossible to lose a pound. I've been fighting for every one. I think one solution would be to kick up the protein and exercise and see where it goes from there. But, others are right. You've just lost an awful lot of weight and now your body is normalizing. You'll get there.....just at a little bit slower pace now. Hang in there. I know I'm with you. Stacey
