It's called Nascobal and if your insurance doesn't cover it-it can be quite expensive. I had insurance at the time and had a $36 copay with it. We can absorb it, although with me it wasn't keeping my level as high as the doc wanted, so I ended up back on sublinguals. Alot of people in my support group swears by it tho. Good luck, Becky

I have a desk job and found I was doing the same thing. sipping the same drink forever. I went and got a rubbermaid 1/2 jug with a pour spout. Every morning I take it and put 4 bottles of water in it and either crystal light, decaf tea, sugar free kool-aid. I have my glass and I set that jug on my desk next to my PC it is a constant reminder to drink drink drink. It is hard but getting dehydrated is VERY VERY dangerous. If I can get that 64 oz in durgin the day then what I drink at home is BONUS fluids Just what I have found works for me Jeannie 3/9/05 5'7" 315-165

Hi Corgimom - You have lost an enormous amount of weight in just a year, you should be so proud! You started out heavier than I did and are now lighter than I am, so believe me, from where I sit you look like you're doing great! I have had so many plateaus I can't think straight about them anymore. Never once did I lose 3lbs a week, never mind 15lbs in 5 weeks after I got past my first 10 weeks out. I lost 60lbs in my first 10 weeks, and since then have lost only 25lbs. Plateaus for months, followed by a 5 or 10 lbs loss, followed by another month or so of plateaus. We are all different in how we lose, and I'm not surprised you have had such a long plateau after losing so much so quickly. It will come off for you, I'm certain of it. I pray that mine will come off for me as well, though I can't think of anything to improve my loss. Hang in there, it will happen. Look at how hard you worked to lose what you have lost already! Stick with your eating plan, exercise when and how you can until you can get back to your old exercise routine, and before you know it the scale will be moving again! Good luck! Mary Ellen

Topic: dreaded plateau
Hello, Well I have been on a plateau for about 5 weeks now. Very frustrating. I am going to try the plateau buster diet this week. It might be slightly modified but I'm going to concentrate on 3 oz of protein 5 times per day with limited to no carbs. Also drink lots of water (my downfall?) I had hoped to have lost another 15 lbs over the last 5 weeks but NO!!! I go up and down about 1/2 lb. each day. And no I haven't lost inches either. I've had to curtail my exercise due to some health problems I've had lately. I posted on the main board about this condition my surgeon thinks I have called costrochronditis. It's an inflammation of the chest wall and he suggested holding off on the exercise for a while. Not that I was doing a great deal beforehand corgimom 306/180/135?

Tyshea, Have you tried sugar-free koolaid? I like that from time to time as a change a pace. Also how about the flavored waters like propel or dasana? There are also some drinks by crystal lite - orange, rasberry etc. good luck, corgimom
