Congratulations Carol. One year has gone by so fast and along with it 144lbs. That is fantastic. You must feel just great. Your progress shows how well someone can do using their tool to the max. All the best for the coming year. Sher

Carol, you have done wonderfully. I never thought that I might gain in height without all that extra poundage. I will have to check! Julia

Carol, Happy Anniversary! You've done great. It seems like everyone of us from April 2006 has done extremely well and I attribute alot of that due to the wonderful support in this room. Hopefully that will continue in year two of our new life. Good luck. Floyd

I'm right there with you. I had given up on enjoying life, I think part of me had given up on life in general but now for me, the sky is the limit!! They say we all find another obsession or addiction to replace food, mine has definitely got to be adrenaline. There are so many things I want to do that I never would have been able to before...first on my list is to go sky diving. I've gotten pretty close to my surgeons nurse, she had the surgery not long after me, although she didn't have as much to lose as me, we both seem to crave adrenaline, so we both have plans to sky dive!! I'm excited and am planning it for the next month or so!!!!

Thank you Sher!! When I sit and think about it, it can be overwhelming! I never thought I would lose the weight, I just knew I was going to be super morbidly obese forever. This surgery surely changed my life!

Sher I work in a hospital transfusion service, and everyone has to follow universal blood precautions. That means that when I'm in the lab I have to wear gloves and gown. No eating, drinking, or gum chewing. So I can't have a bottle of water by my side. Jeanne
