Hi Marcia, I started as a light weight and have lost 71 pounds since April 4th and I have a silly question. If we continue to loose weight for a year from surgery we will be too thin. When do we level out and how?

I'm so relieve to hear this from others...I've lost 69 pounds to date but the last couple of weeks it's been very slow and I'm 4 1/2 months out. I working out consistently and eating by the rules my physician set for me...it's very frustrating. You start to second guess yourself, be critical of every bit, and wonder "Is this it?". I have another 70 pounds to lose and it seems like a long journey right now. I'm trying to focus on baby steps right now and not get discouraged. Seems like from all the responses we are being "normal" and it will pick back up. Good luck to everyone and thanks for helping to remind me that I'm not alone in this. Peace

Sharlene, Those that are several years out in our local support group tell those of us who are still relatively recent that "your body knows when to quit". However, I've also read posts on this web site that say "I'm getting too thin, help! How do I gain weight?" So to answer your question, I have no idea. Boy would that be a change of pace for me (and most of the rest of us) if I wound up having that problem! I can't imagine. Marcia
