I know the feeling Diane. I did really well on the pouch test, but then life kicks in with all the busyness and stresses, and I'm back to those carbs and candy like a bee to honey. I really need to do the 5 day plan again as it helped me control the carb monster inside me. It's great that we are living our lives to the full now - that's what wls is all about, but I for one, need to learn how to balance it all, now that I'm not so focussed on my eating. First out it was easy to focus on eating right and make that the priority in my life, now it's a struggle. Good luck with the liquids

So... are we trying to make up for lost time (all those years of being MO) that we have now overloaded our daily routines?!? For me, I worked 16 or 17 days straight beginning on October 22 and have begun tackling painting the interior of my home. Let's throw a yard sale onto the pile and a trip to north Texas tomorrow am for the next five days for a speaking engagement. And let's not forget Thanksgiving and Christmas shopping and Christmas.... And in another 2 1/2 to 3 weeks I have another surge at work, probably another two weeks with no time off leading right up until Christmas eve. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As far as weight loss goes, I am so glad I did a modified 5 day pouch test prior to my long stretch at wor****pt focused for the first week.. but then things got a bit hairy at work and all the "bad" food... donuts, kolaches, pizza, subs, chips.... called my name. So I went full force back onto carbohydrates and by the time I had some time off I felt miserable again. I put on a few pounds during my pigfest but have managed to take them off. So here I go again, detoxing my body of carbs with the 5 day pouch test. I have been trying for a few days to do the two days of liquids and have struggled so much. Maybe I will be successful today!! I had an absolutely crazy weekend. Friday I ran around all day getting stuff done. Saturday was grandma day so I was there til late Saturday night.. Than the fun began. Sunday my friend tricked me into building a 25 foot 6 foot high fence for her.. yikes and I had already planned on building a wall 13 feet by 8 feet long in my boys room to separate them before they kill each other. So after getting all the materials for both jobs, we attacked the fence first and got it done in 2 hours.. i was yelling come on come on.. lets get this done...lol. Than we headed to my house... We finished building the wall at about 8:00pm. I had been up since 6:00 am so I was pretty tired. Monday was a holiday so I spent the whole day painting, mudding and taping and than decorating both boys rooms. One in Nascar and the other in Spiderman.. What a day... I am sore from head to toe and tired as all get out. I need a break but it wont be happening at work as our 6 month budget meeting is on Wednesday and I have to prep for that tomorrow as the three regional centers I work for come to see what we are doing to earn their money. Not to mention we have more than doubled our calls over the past six months so we are running around like fools working here lately. So that was my weekend and what my week is gonna look like.. some one save me.. Now I am gonna go to bed.. i need it.. LOL... See you all later.. Carla

Sounds like a great weekend! I went back to work, very hard on the new body....Lots of swelling... other than that I didn't do anything special. Today is another long drive for a doctors follow-up appointment. 3 1/2 hrs each way..... Its wonderful to fit into the (No longer tight shirt)... LOL My happy moment was putting on a pair of low rise jeans yesterday that did not fit before and do now...LOL and trying on a very small size 6 outfit and it fitting.....

Hi gang So how was your weekend and what have you got coming up for this week? For me Saturday was digging in the garden planting bulbs with my daughter and cleaning up the house, then Sunday she went on a trip with the Brownies to a wildlife sanctuary while Hubbie and I ministered at a church, then had a relaxing afternoon til she got home. It was great to take my mind off all the decisions and worry that I've got going on at the moment. Today I'm taking her for an Occupational Therapy assessment and then trying to find a child counsellor/therapist for her to find out what is going on inside her worried little mind But today we are celebrating her adoption anniversary - 6 years ago today she officially became our little girl (even though we'd had her already for 17 months it was great for it to be official) So we (well she did) had cake for breakfast And we are going to see a ballet on Saturday, party tea and her friend for a sleep over on Saturday. Plus I tried on a new shirt I bought about 2 weeks ago that was too tight then, and today it fit!!! The scales haven't moved, but obviously my body has So no matter how tough things seem, when I put things into perspective, life is good.
