he is adorable, but his momma has carried him on her hip for the last 8 months and now he truly thinks that if his butt touches the floor, he will be sucked into a black hole or something.

Thanks Ruth. This is a good way to keep check of yourself and to give yourself a quick boost. I do plan to try it soon...the right way.

Topic: RE: 5 day plan - are we all surviving
Hi,
I started with a protein shake yesterday morning and then my son made macaroni and cheese....Yikes. Had a couple of bites. Then I made stew for dinner and had a small portion of that but had a few slices (skinny) of this awesome cibatta bread. Had some pretzels at night. Funny thing is.... the scale went down. I lost 1.5lbs but I just started my period so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. My period hasn't affected my weight loss in quite a few months as it has in the past. So today I had a bagel for breakfast and then a protein shake for lunch. I am not sure what I am having for dinner and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow.
Good luck to all of you guys that have the guts to stay on track. Keep up the good work.

Topic: RE: 5 day plan how are we doing?
I picked the easy route for me - not sure if I was supposed to
I had protein shakes & water for days 1 & 2, tuna & eggs & protein shakes for day 3, chilli & protein shakes for day 4 and chicken & protein shakes for day 5. That's it, no sauces or anything added, oh and a few raisins in between to 'snack' on - like 5 or so each day.
If I had introduced any more food I would have ended up falling off the wagon.
You'll 'get it' when you need to Andi. Or just do he first two days every so often?

Trish,
I agree, not really hungry, but fighting the urge to "snack." I found this morning a bit rough. I wasn't going to have any caffeine, but I gave in and got a no-fat latte. Seems to have taken the edge off.
Good Luck on Day 2!
Diane

I think i'm going to start this again at another time. Really i'm just not concentrating on myself. I'm psyched about the 3.lb loss and that makes me feel great but I can't do the softs versus hard protein i have no idea what to eat. I really need to read that article better so I "get" it. Andi

Yay Diane & Trish..good for you for biting the bullet and going for it. I put it off for three days hee hee, but got there eventually.
The first day I found was not hungry but a fighting my food head demons type day - once I realised that I COULD be in contol the rest got easier. Now I've introduced 'proper' food I hear the snacks callign my name again.
You CAN do this, and will see results
Look forward to hearing how it's going for you both, and supporting you all the way.
