Topic: Checking In!
Who knew life could be soooo busy??? I am the absolute happiest I can ever remember being. I actually have a purse size planner I take with me everywhere I go. My boyfriend and I are going non-stop. Between my family and his family, its always something.
My eating habits are not as great as they should be, but they are still WAAAAYYYYY better than pre-surgery. I'm still hanging between 195 and 198. I'm in L tops and 14 bottoms (I bought a pair of size 14 Levi's 515s and I LOVE them)!.
The love life is going wonderfully well! I miss the board so much but I honestly barely have time to think!!!
I hope everyone is doing great!
I had so much more I wanted to say to you guys...I guess I'll come back and post as I remember it all!

Ruth,
I would tend to day that is true about the weight loss following the TT. I hope it continues a little more!! I really need to start exercising again, I had stopped a few months ago because my schedule was so busy. I was working a lot of extra shifts. I can't do alot in terms of working out right now but I can at least walk and I really should be getting my butt in gear with that. As a matter of fact, maybe I'll set a goal for myself to walk everyday until I return to work, that is two weeks from now and see if the weight drops even more. I'll let you know.
As far as healing, I am doing very well. No infections, the scar seems to be healing beautifully and I really haven't had pain at all. Even right after the surgery, I would say for the first 3-4 days I needed pain meds but not anymore. My last drain came out this past Thursday, that was a relief. My plastic surgeon said that he thinks my insurance company will approve a thigh lift, so I may have that done when I have my breast lift done in January, we'll see. He asked for approval for the back/butt, which is also considered a LBL, execpt I had the front done already but I don't think I want that done. I think this plastic surgery "thing" can become addicting and I don't want to get carried away. But...I will say that I bought a size 10 pants the other day and finally tried them on and believe it or not I have to bring them back for a size 8. I don't ever remember wearing that size....ever! Then again, I think the clothing manufacturers are making their sizes bigger now. Anyway, I'll take the 8.

Hey Amy
I read on grads boards that your wls all kicks in again after a tummy tuck op, so it's like being first out again with the malabsorption!
Have you found this to be true - it would be great if it is huh!
How are you healing? Is it still painful?

Topic: RE: Weekly Weigh In
Hello everyone,
I am still at 158 this week but that is 12lbs down since my TT on 9/17/07. I actually asked the doctor how much "weight" they took off and he told me about 4.5.lbs. That was dissappointing but then I realized that about 8 of it was my own efforts, so that was good. I am down a total of 105lbs, that's about what my 12 year old son weighs!! How is that for perspective? After the TT, you have to wear binders which constrict your stomach, so I wasn't able to eat as much, plus I usually work night shift and it is so hard not to snack there, so I have been more on a day schedule and am better able to control what I eat.

Hi,
I had my parents over for dinnner tonight, they are leaving for their Florida home until Christmas. I wish I could go with them!!! Then tomorrow we start tearing apart our bathroom for renovations. I can't wait till that is done, I have had the "grossest" bathroom known to man and now it will look soooo pretty. I may even pull a bed in there and sleep! Just kidding. I am going to try to start walking again, It has been a slow go since my plastic surgery but only because I'm lazy. I have lost 12lbs since the surgery and a few more would be nice.

we have a friend visiting from Oregon, so we're taking her to see Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park. hopefully the clouds will part for some beautiful shots of the lake ringed by snow covered peaks.
i'll also have a grand time trying to teach my 8 and 4 yr old girls how to skip rocks on the lake.
