Today i left my food bag home so i've been catching what I can where i can. so i've had (2) cheese sticks, (16) wheat thins, a cup of coffee and a 24 ounce decaf iced tea. I haven't had lunch yet and I'm working on my second iced tea. Andi

Hi Andi
Well, in answer to some of your questions - I told my manager today that I may not get the work done that needed to be...he looked horrified! It is pay rise time and I have repeatedly been giving him the deadline of last Monday for all the info as it takes ages to calculate, process etc...the deadline it needed to be done was by the end of today.
So he gives it to me this morning! I very calmly told him that I would do my best but it would be very unlikely that I would get it all done, would he like me to do as much as I can and have some people get a payrise this month and others wait til next month, and that I will see how far I got. When he went to make a comment, I again calmly said that he had given me less than 5 hours to do it, and that I needed the work last monday. That made him realise! I also said I'm not super woman (we get on well, it was not sarcstic!). I reminded him of that fact when I handed him the completed work and said actually I am superwoman and need a payrise! (which I'm in the process of negotiating for!).
Before, I would have stressed and eaten and stressed some more and eaten a whole lot more. Yay to me
Food wise, I had 1/2 cup instant porridge for Breakfast, 2 plums and a small 40 cal cookie as individual snacks, cottage cheese & pineapple for lunch, and am planning on fish & veg for dinner
Yes, I always need to look at my fluid intake first when I need to go......
Can't you just 'waste' so much time with the kittens - even watching them sleep.

Well folks, I've had a not shocking revelation that has left me feeling rather moronic. For the second day in a row i've gotten in well over 70 ounces of fluids and I've managed to poop on my own, no pills no potions no magic tea no brutal stomach pains but an actual I GOTTA GO moment, HA who knew it's all about fluids.
Yesterday went well, i sort of screwed up last night because I had a really large lunch and had nothing for dinner and had popcorn before bed. I'll work on making better choices. My proteins were only in the 70-something range and my calories were around 900, so not too bad for losing and I'll work on making changes today.
I had steamed chicken and broccoli for lunch yesterday which was SO good with some garlic sauce on the side and I couldn't stop eating the broccoli for snack. I finished the chicken part for lunch like i knew i should but boy the broccoli called to me like a sirene. There are WAY worse foods that could be snacked on then steamed brocolli though.
What will today bring you? Will you use food to numb your emotional feelings (ala Andi) or will you tell people what you think no matter what, will food be your crutch when your feelings are hurt, you are bored or understimulated or just plain tired? I managed to get everyone to bed by 8:30pm last night, the night previous the middle boy and I got no sleep at all and that made the day a challenge. I served an early dinner, we showered early and played with the new kittens for almost an hour, they are truly a delight! Tonight i've got 3rd grade open house, oh the joy of it.....this is the third time I'm going through it, i feel i should be able to skate by as I've done it twice and my oldest son had this teacher as well! Hello Trish! How did your back to basics go? The foods you ate sounded like celebration foods, were you celebrating an event? I hope the next time you take a sip of margarita you hold it in your mouth just a moment before swallowing and think of me, I used to adore margaritas and all the fun foods that went with them. Hugs, ANDI

Hi Carla! How was the party? Was she surprised?
This weekend was fun for me. I painted our kitchen and then put some more tile up on the backsplash. Then we took the kids to the mall because they had a kids event there. Then we rented a movie. On Sunday my favorite store was having an anniversary sale so I went and looked around. Then worked on the tile in the kitchen some more. Oh, and I gave my son and husband hair cuts! Nothing overly exciting but it was a good weekend!

A human being is only interesting if he's in contact with himself. I learned you have to trust yourself, be what you are, and do what you ought to do the way you should do it. You have got to discover you, what you do, and trust it.

Topic: Good Monday Morning
So how was everyone's weekend. I was busy as usual. I tell you life is so busy with my new health. Friday I was running around getting ready for my MIL surprise B-day party. Saturday was her day and we rode horses and had the party. Sunday my son had his football game, I did house cleaning and a bbq for the family. sometimes I think I come back to work just to rest from my weekends.. so what did you all do...

I'm joining in with all of you...I too have gotten off track...let's just say yesterday was filled with margarita's...mexican food...champagne, more margarita's (yes I drank them twice in one day) then sushi...
My scale has not moved and I really need to rid my body of the carbs...I am certain this is what is preventing me from losing the last of the weight. So, starting tomorrow...can't start today...already ate chips & salsa & am committed to italian for lunch...I will plan my meals, I will prepare my meals ahead of time and i will EAT WHAT I BROUGHT. I will only eat two snacks and no grazing. NO LATE NIGHT EATING!
Good luck to us all.
