just so you don't feel all alone i'm right there with you, maybe 8-10 pounds from goal and the surgeons answer was Some people just don't reach goal Andi it's how the body wants it.....well what the heck kind of answer is that? I am looking into a plastic surgery regime that will start this winter and they feel i'll be below goal when I do it and that'll have to be good enough because nothing else is working right now. ANDI

((((((((((((Karen)))))))))))))))))) i don't have an answer to you but i hope this hug gives you some strength to carry on and do what you have to do. These children didn't choose their parents so they need your help and guidance. You can't let stress rule your life, get some help get some counseling. I know my hospital has a support group for grandparents as care givers and if we do (we're a tiny hospital) then others must as well. Eating right and exercising is a choice you make, when you get home, pop the kids in a stroller and go for a walk, doesnt have to be a long walk but it clears your mind and the kids get to go out as well. Best of luck to you and may G*D Bless You with the strength and patience you need. ANDI

Strangely enough I've read a few posts lately about this malabsorption stopping. I did loads of research before having wls and didn't see ANYTHING posted or on the internet about it. I was under the impression that it was a permanent thing, which is why we should continue to take suppliments for the rest of our lives. I'm not sure if I would have made any different choices if I had known, but I feel a bit 'cheated' thinking this malabsorption was for life.

The malabsorption info makes a lot of sense, but I don't want to hear it!! Wish I was further along before my body adjusted.
