Topic: RE: 2nd fill and I think I have restriction?
I am experiencing the same thing, big time restriction and i just had my 2nd fill 3 weeks ago. its not taking much at all to feel the pain of restriction, yet I still feel hungry at meal times. I even tried pasta last night, since I figured it was soft and would go down easily and it still happened. I cant get over the pain when something gets stuck or just wont go down at all!! I go back to the drs on the 13th and am wondering if he needs to take some fluid out, yet I dont seem to lose as easily with less fluid. By the way, I was doing well with the weight loss, now its sooooo slow, its driving me to distraction.
So anyway, it sounds like we are in the same boat together here if thats any consolation to you.
I have heard them say on here, that sometimes the restriction gets tighter after a few weeks of the fill.........maybe thats what is happening to you and I both. ????
Hope this helps to know you are not alone.

Topic: RE: Anyone begin wanting Lap-Band and Change to Bypass?
I had my heart set on the lap band, had researched it extensively. Then I met with my surgeon and his team and he flat out told me that with my comorbidities and the amount of weight I needed to lose that the RYN would be a better choice. He also said the lap band is a much slower process at losing the weight which is not what I wanted. I'm glad I changed my mind. I was six months post op on Tuesday and I have lost 86 lbs. I've gone from a size 24/3X to a size 12/14. I can't tell you how wonderful it feels. I no longer have to take diabetic meds or use a cpap machine. I feel fabulous!! Good luck with your decision, do what feels right for you!

Yeah, the bars are slightly chewy. They are not crunchy like Nature Valley granola bars. I still have to take small bites and chew chew chew but ingredients don't make me sick!
I'd give it another week or at least til you are on a soft food diet. My Dietician suggested I try some kind of protein bar b/c I am having issues getting enough in and am on the go all the time!

I have just recieved the lapband. Very excited for the long journey ahead of me. Any suggestions, helpful hints. I am alot to lose, I am morbidly obese so it is going to be a long road. Anybody have to have plastic surgery after the weight was lost? Does any one know of a personal trainer that deals with obese clients? Any helpful advice suggestions anything would be of great help.

Topic: is pregnacy possible w/ bypass
I have heard some people saying they had their bands removed after childbirth and went for the full gastric bypass surgery... is it not possible to get or become pregnant after having the bypass surgery? Will it cause complications in the long run? Any thoughts or answers would be greatly appricated
