I've been enjoying a simple taco salad lately. A good way to spice up the protein. 1/2 pound lean ground beef 1/2 pound ground turkey. 2 taco seasoning spice packets. Simply brown the meat and add the seasonings. Serve with lettuce, shredded cheese, salsa, reduced-fat sour cream, green chilies, whatever you like. I also sometimes will put it into a low-carb wrap for a burrito kind of thing although the low carb wraps don't hold together terribly well.

Hey Gang, Lets post recipes. I need new ones. If we all post what we like, then before long we will each have lots of new things to try. I have been doing low carb. Cheesy Chicken Green Bean Casserole 2 cans french cut green beans- drain well 1 med onion 2 stalks celery 2 tbsp butter 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/4 cuo mayo 1 cup assorted cheese- ( cheddar, pepper jackwhatever kind of cheese you have shredded on hand) 1/2 tsp lite salt 1/4 reg salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp garlic powder 5 small boneless chicken breast Bake the chicken until done , put into the bottom of casserole dish put everthing else into a food processor, pour over chicken cover and bake 30 minutes. You could have this as soon as veggies are allowed, about 3 months out going by my dr. This is good, my whole family enjoys this one

Nice weekend spent with family and friends. Took my little ones to the National Aquarium yesterday. They always have a ball, but got tuckered out after an hour or so. Lots of walking and needin to pay attention. Back to a regular schedule today on all fronts.

Wow, what a morning, it makes me want to in sympathy. My morning is going great so far, but I don't have enough to do in this new job. I am getting caught up on some recreational reading . Good thing I don't work in a cubicle anymore. I hope you see profound improvements in the rest of your day! Lori

1) Dog pooped all over the floor because DH gave him too much rich, people food yesterday. 2) Son threw up all over the kitchen floor. 3) Had an argument w/ DH. 4) Windshield of car was so frozen it took forever to defrost it. I can claim all of the above today. How was your morning? Michelle

We had a hibernation weekend. My husband and 6 year old twins were all sick ALL weekend with the flu. My son threw up a couple of times but other than him it was fever, lethargy and severe cold symptoms. Since I was the only one standing, I was the gopher for the LONG weekend. What fun. The kids are home today too - still sick and their teachers have a professional development day. I'm looking forward to them going back to school tomorrow so I can go to the gym!!! Carolyn

It was so cold we did very little but hibernate...and clean up after the fire. I had a full house...7 adults, 2 children, and one baby in a three bedroom mobile home. You can imagine how full it is. The wind was blowing and the temp reached in the negative below zero, with a really really low wind chill. YUK. Sounds like I need to move where you are. I want to go bike riding...
