When did you first have labs done after surgery?

The surgeon that I decided to go with doesn't do labs one month out.  I think he said he doesn't order labs until 6 months out, something like 6, 9,and 12th month.  He said that unless you are having symptoms and showing signs that something is off, everything should be fine because your body stores up nutrients.  The first surgeon that I saw, does labs at 1,6, and 12 months. 

Most that I know do 1, 3, 6, 12 depending on your numbers. Why are you concerned? Do you want them sooner? Not as soon?

Just wondering what most do. I would prefer labs done sooner.  I'm sure the surgeon will order labs earlier if I request.

I am  2 months post op and haven't had any either. Exciited when I get to do them tho!
