Topic: Century Mark!!! Yeah!!!!
I made the century mark around christmas - 105 lbs lost since July 17, 2007! Yeah!! Only 93 Lbs left to lose. I feel awesome. I am getting so much attention it is almost overwhelming. My confidence is way up - I even get up and sing karaoke!! My high blood pressure is gone, so is my sleep apnea, my back pain is minimal and my stress urinary incontinence is gone (thank god) . Amazing!! Posted my Century Mark pix on my profile. Roberta

I went to the gym today and the lady in the office called me back. I'm thinking crap did something go wrong with my payment. She just wanted to show me the picture I took when I started the gym in early May. OMG! it was amazing the change. I agree I have been going over my calories and trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong but the reality is we just may need a breather. I don't think it hurts to try and fine tune the diet though and tighten up on the Christmas hangover But all in all you're doing great Susan. I'm right her with ya on the same stall.

Kinda Blue today.... I am a bit discouraged today with my weight loss... I know I am doing pretty good but I have been stuck around the same weight for sooooooo long it is really starting to get on my nerves. Today I am 276.0 pounds.... which I am happy about but heck I have been within 1-2 pounds of this weight for too long. Yeah I know my body needs to catch up, and I have been eatting crackers which isnt the best choice to make. As of today I have given up carbs, which I dont really eat any but crackers. When I look at the big picture, which is awesome, I am amazed at the amount of weight that I have actually lost in such a short period of time. I guess I have always been impatient and wanted everything NOW... LOL... and I do understand that the weight didnt come on at once and it isnt just gonna fall off at once either. Here is my Big Picture... share yours too and we can all feel a bit better when we hit the stalls that make us blue. Highest Weight - 405 Begining Weight - 395 Surgery Weight - 373.5 Excess Weight to Normal - 240 (150 is my normal per doc) Excess Weight to Goal - 205 (goal of 190) Weight Today - 276.0 Total Pounds Lost - 119 (GONE FOREVER) % of Excess to Normal Lost - 49% % of Excess to Goal Lost - 58% See the results are pretty amazing... I guess I should be thanking my lucky stars that I am happy and healthy and losing weight... LOL Thanks for listening to me whine... LOL Susan

Shari, I have been wondering the same thing! I looked back at FitDay and I have been averaging 1000 - 1100 calories. This started around the holidays. It seems as though, it progresses every couple of months. I do still primarily eat protein and seem to be satisfied w/ my intake. I am a bit tired of meat, so I am trying different ways to keep the protein high without consuming much meat. I've been eating more cottage cheese, ricotta cheese and even tried the SouthBeach Cinnamon Raisin bars - which are also very good. I finally tried PK's pumpkin muffins this weekend. They are good and have 12 grams of protein. Hope you feel better - Abbie

Up until a couple of weeks ago, I was up to 1000 a day (never going over 1000 a day). I upped it to allow myself what my NUT says, up to 1200 per day. I upped it by increasing my protein portions by 1 oz. (so basically 3 to 4 oz. at meals instead of 2 to 3). I've been much more satisfied this way.

My calories usually fall somewhere between 1000 - 1200. I do notice more hunger if I go much below 1000. I usually get in 60-80g of protein a day but also eat some pasta/bread, so I have considered slightly reducing carbs and calories to speed things up. However, for now it's working okay...will see where I land at the end of this month and then adjust as needed. Loree

My calories are not consistent. I range anywhere between 735 (rare) to 1000. I would say looking at my graph on sparkpeople I mostly stay between 850-950 calories. I also have been at a stall. I think if you feel you need a few more calories you should have them. What about adding some protein? Heidi
