idea to start losing again
Hi Sunny,
Personally, I am surprised to see that you want to lose more! You are a tiny little thing! But I do understand the whole number game, wanting to see a certain number on the scale! I was determined to see 128 and when I hit 130, I was not satisfied because I wanted 128. Even though it was only 2 lbs, I didn't care...I wanted to see that number. I have since went past that, and have a new weight range, but I completely understand where you are coming from.
I would cut your breads out for a week; no white flour at all. Drink water until it comes out your ears and limit your salt. Eat nothing after 7:00 p.m. With this, you should see a few lbs gone. Or, to rid of those last few pounds, try the cabbage soup diet. Not good for a lot of weight to lose but for a few like this, it would work, I'm sure.
Keep in mind though, your body is so small that it may not want to rid those pounds and will do whatever it takes to stay put......Is there anyway you would reconsider your goal weight? I mean, you look amazing and what will those 5 lbs do besides give you the number you have in your head? As I said, I do understand so I am not judging you, but I just wanted to share my perspective with you...
You look great!
Hugs,
Denise

Sunny, nice to read a post from you. I have to agree with the other ladies. You already look great. If I can give a comment I would like to say that when we first start losing weight after surgery there is a natural high. Then the weight lose start slowing down. Soon, it hardly moves for some. I believe our goals have to change. Some still need to lose, others have to work on maintaining the weight. Have you talked to your doctor. Good look in what you decide to do.
Sunny, then you are probably weight less than what the scale says. Hopefully your problem will be solved once you have the surgery. Don't be hard on yourself. I have thought of taking a shower with a shirt and shorts. I don't like seeing my excess skin either. When I see it I still feel I am overweight. Good luck and keep in touch.
ISunny, know exactly how you feel. I've always had have 135 in mind, my coc said 150. I wonder why
I'm 5'5' and 150 is at the very top for that range. Plus, , I'm not big even boned. I know it's just numbers. I just want to be in the middle of my weight/height range. Yet, I'm having motivation /food issues. It's hard to stay motived with everyone constantly telling you, 'you're too thin already' or 'why do you want to lose more?' Then too, I have a very full wardrobe of 6/8's and do I want to replace it?
Here's an idea we got from a nutritionist at our support group. Sometimes, eating more calories will kick up your metabolism......like if you've been eating 1200k a day take it up to 1800. Choose protein and foods low on the glycemic ndex. Have you ever read, THE ZONE'? It's very balanced. 40/30/40. Water, water, water..........Instead of Your regular workout, try walking, running, spinning whatever you do for cardio for 20-minutes 1/2 hour before or after you eat. Does this make sense? Hope this helps. Best, barb
