Hi everyone! I'm waiting to post this wee****il I'm finished with the 5 day pouch test. Today is Day 4. I guess that means I'll be posting on Friday. I refuse to weigh until then, LOL. If any of you are having troubles at all, I (along with Tammy) HIGHLY recommend doing the five day pouch test. It's AWESOME, and gets your pouch working for you again. I REALLY noticed the difference yesterday (day 3). My pouch feels tight like it used to when I first started on soft foods. I can tell, also that I've lost weight because my clothes are fitting a tad looser. ANYWAY, give it a try, it's sooooo worth it! Here's the link: http://www.5daypouchtest.com/ See you on Friday! God bless!! Brenda

LOL, Becca... So true! It's so weird. There are days I just have no appetite at all and struggle to eat and only end up getting 600 to 700 calories in per day and the next morning my weight actually increases (like 2 pounds!!) from the morning before. It's just so freakin' weird!!! When's the last time we had to hear, "Eat MORE!" LMAO, ~Brandi

Please don't be down about this just yet. See what your doctor has to say. Remember this is something that can be controlled unlike your weight which wasn't controllable before the surgery.

You have a lot on your plate Patricia. I don't think what you are experiencing is depression. I think it's your situation. Who wouldn't feel down and worried when in financial difficulties! I have to tell you though.... even though it is VERY difficult to do, once you get yourself started on some form of exercise, it is like taking drugs! Even if you can get yourself up early before the rest of the family, bundle up and get out for a walk it will help immensely! And it's FREE! And you DO need to get to church so you can be around people and make friends!! FORCE yourself! You will be so much happier in spite of all you have to deal with. I'm glad your Mom gave you that trip. That is a great thing for you. Enjoy every moment and be up front and insistent and PROUD that you have a certain way of eating. Offer to cook and buy your own food. Tell them not to worry about your eating and to continue to do what ever they normally do and not do anything special for you. And then buy, cook and plan your own food. They will understand unless there is something wrong with them and they have their own agenda or are jealous and want to sabotoage your wonderful journey. BTW... there is a group here on OH for vegetarian WLS people. There is no reason you have to have meat. HOWEVER, having said that, those that don't eat meat do have to work harder at getting their protein in. But there are SOOO many protein drinks out there that you can certainly get all you need using them. I'm so glad to see you post. I have also been AWOL from this group but I am back now and happy to see everyone and all the success!!!! Whooo HOOOO! Hugs, Marianne C.

My numbers are almost the same as what Brandi mentioned above....my surgeon actually wants my cals at about 1200 at this point, but because I'm not a hardcore gym rat...I just walk for my exercise, I keep it at about 1000 and have been losing steadily....I even go up to 1100 to break any stalls...lol...go figure huh? MORE calories to LOSE!? blasphemy!!! xxxbecca
