I did the same thing as you. I was right at the 100lb over weight mark at 227 and I gained a few extra lbs and pushed my weight to 232 just to make sure I could get approved. I'm sorry, I dont really have a secret. I have lucked out and had only a couple of stalls. I do exercise a little bit. I do some pilates, crunches and squats only 3 times a week though. It may be the very messy and stressful divorce I'm going through lol Other than that the only thing I do different and opposite of what my doc says and I eat six small meals a day instead of 3, 3 oz meals. It keeps my metabolism and energy up. I really wish I could be of more help! 53 lbs is still great though and everyone loses differently. I hope it picks up soon for you though so you can be a little more at ease. Try pilates!!!! I Love it!!!It gives you long lean gorgeous muscles instead of big bulky ones.

hey i wus just curious how it is that u have lost almost 50lbs more then i have when we started this at the same weight....do u exercise alot?! i think that may be my huge down fall cuz im not losing as fast as everyone else it seems.....although i {or we} are above average in loss....it duznt seem to make much sense. I thought maybe it was because we dont have THAT much more to lose to be considered normal weight?! idk. please let me know what your secret is if u have one :) i went from 220....to 232 to make sure i wus eligible for the surgery to date im at 179....which is only 53lbs..... but ur doing fantastic! god what id give to be at 140's.....

I have a medical ID bracelet for Gastric Bypass. My parents gave it to me for Christmas. Mine says Gastric Bypass see wallet. And in my wallet I have a card that explains everything with my surgeons name and phone number.

Even if you do not have any other conditions you need to let a Dr or EMT know that you had Gastric Surgery in an emergency! sample alert: GASTRIC BYPASS NO NG TUBE W/O SCOPE NO NSAIDS I discussed with my doctor if I still needed a tag for Type II Diabetic, high blood pressure and my being allergic to Penicillin. Even though I no longer take insulin since surgery and that my blood pressure now hovers at 110/70 He told me that I needed to keep all that on a tag. I came across the gastric alert when I was looking for an alert charm on Ebay... it was only $12.00 or so.

Hello, Only one thing I like to add is that we all took a proactive step to fix a problem in our lives. The fat suits were latterly killing us in many ways. No one really knows all the hoops that we needed to jump thru, all the diet programs we had to follow, the endless Dr appts and the getting sick if we eat more than a few ounces now. By no means have we taken the easy way out, we have taken the only way proven to work.
