Topic: RE: Protein problem....
Hi Jessica!
First, I want to tell you that you're doing great!! I also wanted to tell you that it's ok if it takes you a good long while to drink a protein drink. You don't have to drink it down in a few minutes. Take as long as you need. We are supposed to take in LOTS of fluids during the day and our protein drinks/smoothies/shakes are all counted as part of those fluids. So, if you just set it aside and drink it when you feel up to it, it's ok
.
As for making everything you eat protein related, yes I have definitely been prone to do that. But I'm finding that I NEED to eat other things too. If I don't get enough fruits, vegies, and fiber (which is often) then I get extremely constipated. I've been dealing with constipation for the past 2 1/2 months. I hope it's not permanent. I was told that with the tremendous amount of protein we're taking in, we also need to get fiber and even be on a stool softener to keep us poopin'.
Good luck and GREAT JOB!!
God bless!!

When u mix the shakes...meaning puting the protein powder in milk or ice or yogurt....is anyone having a hard time drinking the WHOLE portion?! because when u even put a yogurt in the blender with some ice it just makes SOO much that i cant even finish half of it! meaning im not getting the appropriate protein regardless. :(
I NEVER thought it would be this hard squeezing something as easy as PROTEIN into my diet. i am SO focused now on figuring a way to eat protein that i dont even enjoy the fact that im NEVER hungry. i jus tell myself "what am i going to have that has protein in it" am i the only one who does that?! b/c my nutritionist seems to think i can just shove anything i want in my mouth and deal with it.....
