Ok i have read most of the forums with the protein ?'s in them...an im finding it STILL hard to get in protein! My problem is i am SOOO picky when it comes to food that im not open to alot of things cuz i can NOT force myself to eat them. I must get in atleast 30g a day and that is ONLY because i eat a 21g snickers protein bar....anyone have any ideas that are HIGH in protein an yet only a small amount of sumthing so i dont have to wanna throw up as im eating a bigger portion......
Im having a TON of hair loss despite the biotin im takig.....its REALLLLLLLY starting to worry me....they sed it would stop after 3months but im going on 6months an its not getting ANY better....HELP!

I use Benefiber...I mix it into my protein drinks. It can be mixed into anything really. Flavorless and smooth. Since using this product daily, I can poop.

I was at a stall too a few weeks ago. I like more lean meats and only ate chicken, baked pork chops, and turkey. After trying calorie cutting and calorie adding my stall finally broke by adding more red meat. So i am sure to add a steak to the menu a couple times a week. I eat about 3 oz portions for dinner but i eat lighter during the day because i like to munch on veggies between meals.
I hope you break that stall soon!!
good luck!

Wow. I found out last week that I am going to have a baby. It comes as a shock this soon after surgery. I've doubled up on taking my vitamins..and am forcing myself to eat, it is just so hard. I don't have any desire to eat. I have found a protein drink I can handle tasting.. You guys should try.. its Boost Glucose control..it has 16 proteins and is only 8 ounces big.. Strawberry is my favorite..anyways..have a good day.

I am having some trouble getting enough fiber in too - good sources include avocado, any kind of berry, apples, beans, lentils (also great for protein) and whole grains. I use a whole grain tortilla for a half quesadilla, or a tortilla pizza. I also eat kozy shack NSA tapioca which has 4g, and NSA carnation instant breakfast, which has 4g. Benefiber is a good supplement that dissolves in any kind of liquidy food. I am for over 20g fiber per day but don't always get it (the recommend amount is 25-35g for a normal person, and most people don't get it). One warning, up your fiber slowly or you will have a lot of painful gas - I'd recommend not going more than 4g higher every few days. If you like cereal, there are a lot of high fiber cereals (fiber buds, kashi go lean, raisin bran). Also remember the more fiber you eat the more water you need to drink because fiber can clog you up worse if you don't drink enough water.
There are also a few protein bars that are high in fiber - I just bought one from atkins advantage that has 11g. Good luck upping the fiber and I hope it helps with constipation! It helped me a little, but a stool softener each night helped more (colace).

How do you get the fiber you need? What types of things work for you? I'm having problems with constipation and I can't seem to get past it. Any ideas you can give me would be helpful.
Thank you.

I really don't know for sure - I just came out of a stall and I tried everything I could think of - upping water, upping exercise, upping calories, lowering calories, mini-meals throughout the day... nothing helped except patience. I am not patient. Just FYI, at first I was eating about 5-6 small meals a day to get 800 calories and enough protein, now I can usually get 800 in 3 meals. My portion size has obviously increased. I've increased my calories slightly too, I usually average 900-1000. This just sort of happened as my hunger returned and I could eat more. I still think its ok, but surgeon suggests 800 until 6 months then raising it to 1000.
