Topic: Favorite snack ideas?
My favorite snacks are yogurt, and cheese and crackers.
Well, cheese and cracker. I buy the Kashi multigrain crackers and each cracker looks like a large wheat thin. I ration one cracker per day and I eat it with a couple ounces of cheese. Yum.
Lately I've been craving olives. The green ones filled with pimento. Yum. I eat 5 of those a day and I'm a happy camper!
I also bought small dill pickles. When I'm just craving in the evenings, I eat one of these...they're so flavorful and that punch really gets me over the "I'd like to do some grazing now" feeling.
I also enjoy cup-o-soup. Only once a week, but what a treat. I loved these since I was a child. I like the "garden vegetable" and "chicken noodle."
Topic: WOW Moments...
So what have been your wow moments so far.
By far, my best wow moment has been (TMI alert, LOL) to be able to insert a tampon while still sitting on the toilet. I used to have to stand up and put my foot on the toilet seat so I could reach. I couldn't reach while sitting. I can now! I did it without thinking one day and almost started crying. LOL
TMI again...I can also wipe my rear-end so much easier. I can reach so much better. This is a great improvement!
I can take a walk and take a pretty brisk walk without getting winded. I'm loving this!
It's also so cool to hug my husband and hear him say, "wow, you're getting so tiny." I enjoy that comment so much even if I do still have 100 pounds to go!

Hi, Tara...
I've eaten candy and cookies myself and had no problems whatsoever. I've had fried food and no problems there either. I'm glad though because I know I can control myself, but if I want a treat...I can have it. I ate whatever I wanted on Christmas day and enjoyed everything immensely...and haven't touched a no-no since. Honestly, I would have been happy if I dumped because it would have been insurance, so to speak, but I'm also happy not to dump. I have to be accountable day in and day out but this way if I want to indulge I can.
Topic: RE: I think I hit a plateau.
My loss has slowed as well. It stinks, LOL. It's said that when our loss slows for a bit our bodies are just playing catch-up and also at those times we're losing inches instead. I'm not sure how this happens, or why...but it's true. Since Christmas I've lost 4 pounds, but suddenly I'm finding that my pants are roomier, so my waist is shrinking even tho the weight isn't really changing a whole lot. Do you measure yourself for inches lost? I don't, but I probably should...it'd help in the times where the weight isn't moving much. Just keep doing as you should, up your water intake a bit and wait it out as you've been, but since you lost that 2 pounds, maybe you waited long enough this time around!! Good luck, Lucy!!
Topic: RE: Weekly weigh-in for January 7th

At Christmas I weighed 232 and had been stuck there until finally yesterday, I went down 2 pounds. But I just feel like my weight loss has slowed down.

why thank you!
I totally forgot about the surgery date forums...I was getting discouraged with my losses and then remembered to check for people with similar dates for a more accurate gauge of how I am doing...lol..I'm kinda slow like that!
again, thank you so much!

I get the bullets and RTD Isopure at GNC...it is in glass bottles so it might be a bit brutal with shipping costs...and I get the stacker water from bodybuilding.com...their shipping prices are the best I've found yet (like $7 for a case of 12)...I'm a sucker for apple, so thats what i usually buy in all three, but Isopure has apple melon, alpine punch, pineapple orange banana, grape, blue raspberry and orange...The stacker has three flavors that I'm aware of Fruit punch, grape and apple...lol...none of which taste bad...
anyway, I'm responding from my phone, so if you need links, let me know and I can post them later when i get to a computer!
