Topic: RE: what are you eating
My day of eating usually goes something like this: breakfast: 6 oz low or fat-free yogurt (sugar free or no sugar added) a small piece of fruit (usually a pear or peach or about 15 small grapes) or a slice of whole wheat toast with a tablespoon of lowfat peanut butter or one egg and one egg white one piece of bacon or 4 oz of cottage cheese 1/2 small piece of fruit Lunch: a can of tuna, drained (usually ends up being about 3 oz) 1 tblsp Smart Balance Omega 3 mayo 1 leaf green or red leaf lettuce (nooooo iceburg!) or something leftover from our dinner the night before or 4 oz chili 1 tblsp ff sour cream often lunch is the most creative meal of the day since I usually try to scrounge up something since it's only me home to eat at lunch. Dinner: this meal varies so much. My husband and sons and I all cook together and come up with some very awesome combinations. What's great about this is that we're ALL eating more healthy foods and spending that time together too! Our suppers usually consist of a lean meat (chicken, pork, deer, and sometimes beef) and a vegetable combination from recipes I have from a bariatric cookbook or salad or sometimes fruit I am usually pretty close to my protein intake if not above it slightly. I do not snack on food. For my mid-morning and mid-afternoon "snack" I drink protein drinks. I don't want to allow myself to get back into snacking. That was one of my bad pre-surgery habits. Have a super day!

Topic: RE: How is everyone doing with there weight targets
Very good thread to start, Noble! I weighed 173 this morning and my goal weight is (according to my nutritionist and surgeon) 130. I'd really like to get down to 120 just to see how I feel and look there. I weighed 126 in high school and I looked pretty darned good then! I know I've had two kids and many life experiences that have changed my body since high school, though. So, we'll jus****ch and see how I feel and look when I get down that far. From 173 to 130 is 43 lbs....but my personal goal is still 53 lbs away.

Topic: RE: How is every one doing with clothes?
None of my clothes fits me anymore...and i had a serious shopping problem before surgery so i have a huge walk-in closet full of clothes i can't wait even if i wanted to...lol...and not cause they are too small but because they are too big...i started out in a size 24 pants and now i'm down into a size 16 and that is a juniors 16...and i've lost all the x's in my shirt size now its just a large or a medium depending on the cut...my shoes are even fitting big and i recently bought a pair of 3 inch high heels and wore them for the first time this weekend without and problems

I almost never get sick from eating. I am eating enought, may be 1000 cal give or take 300. I am no where near the protine I need either. However I am loosing (slowly now) and all my 90 day blood was great, so I am not complaining. I eat prety much anything I want, I do weigh what I eat, it and only have at most 3.5 ounces at a time. I do not seem to do well with pork. I do eat the microwave baccon for a snack, I also eat either puff corn or cheese curels for snacks. I like fried eggs and hashbrowns...

Topic: what are you eating
Hey everyone! I am just curious about what we are typically eating on an average day. I know that I am not eating enough but alot of stuff still makes me sick. I try to eat a couple of slices of turkey bacon. I drink water thoughout the day. For lunch I try soup and veggies. Dinner I try to eat protein. So if you could give me a couple of tips, I would appreciate it. Thanks
