I also have had some hair loss(surgery 8/23/07) but it hasn't been horrible yet. I do notice quite a bit in the morning after I shower and I comb my hair. But I have a ton of hair in the back parts! I just hope that I don't lose much in the front because I have thinner hair there already. But it will be what it is and I know that it will eventually grow back so I am just prepared to deal with my thinning hair!! With all the other pluses that have happened this is one small thing in comparison(at least to me) SO good luck and I hope it slows down for you. I don't believe I have ever heard of anyone going bald~but it does get thinner. Kristi

My surgery date was August 2nd and I'm losing hair by the handfuls everyday too. My nurse educator told me to expect from about 3 months post-op until about 6 months post-op. It's common among WLS patients. I'm just hanging on hoping it slows down before I can see my scalp more than my hair! Let's keep in touch and see when it starts to slow down for us ok? God bless you! Way to gooooooo, Brandy! You're truly an inspiration! I'm quite a bit past 6 weeks out, but I'd love to help you with your project! I had surgery on August 2nd of this year. I guess that puts me at almost 4 months out. I've lost 75 lbs total (51 since surgery) and I'm soooo glad I made the decision to have this surgery! I'm also in school, although not to become a personal trainer. I'm majoring in Business Management. I'm leaning towards a double major, the second being in Human Resource Management. Hey it has been a year and a half since I have had my surgery, I have had a lot going on but first drum roll please.... I am down to 115 lbs!!!!! I have had the best experience with my surgery I really am a new person! I have changed my life completely I am going back to school to be a certified wellness instructor! I want to be a personal trainer specifically to help others who are going through the Gastric Bypass surgery. This is why I need your help. I am doing a final project and I need someone who is around 6 weeks or so out from their surgery. I believe that is when the Dr. said that is when he will give a medical release for someone to start on a physical fitness program. I have a project due that I need immediate help with but also I am trying to design my program and need to do a little recherché and get helpful input. If you're interested in getting some free personal Training advice and don't mind being my guinea pig then please help me!!!!
