WAY TO GOOOO, Susan!! It's an amazing feeling to drop below that 200 mark into Onederland isn't it? The morning I dropped below 200, my husband was in the kitchen making coffee and he came RUNNING when I screamed! LOL! He thought I'd hurt myself or something cuz I screamed so loud. Once he found out it wad because I'd dropped into onederland, he gave me a HUGE hug and told me how proud of me he is. I should have marked it on my calendar so I'd remember the exact date. Oh well, just knowing I'll NEVER be above 200 again makes me enormously happy.
GREAT JOB, SUSAN!!
God bless you!

Hi Toya!
I had some post-op problems that caused me great grief for about 7 weeks. I had to have my esophagus dilated twice. I didn't have a stricture at the bottom of my pouch, it was in my esophagus right between my breasts. Maaaaan it was miserable. I couldn't get much of anything to go down. I even had trouble getting water down sometimes. It would pool up right at the restricted area and I could literally feel it drip, drip, drip to go down.
I haven't lost the whole amount of weight since surgery. I lost 24 lbs pre-op (between April 19th and August 2nd) and since my surgery I've lost the remaining 48 lbs (as of this morning). My total loss is 72 lbs as of this morning. I normally don't weigh everyday, usually only on Sunday or Monday, but I thought it would be interesting to see how my weight looked on a different day.
You'll learn your "full" feeling eventually. I know mine now and it's more of a feeling of not being able to swallow another bite. When I'm done, I'm done and there's no more need to even try to swallow even one more bite. Depending on the liquid content of what I'm eating, I'm usually eating 1/2 cup of food. If it's something like soup, chili, yogurt...I can eat about 3/4 of a cup.
I'm glad you're not having trouble with eating. I was more than miserable when I had my problems.
You asked what kind of surgery I had. I had lap RNY. I figured if I was gonna make a permanent change, I was gonna make a permanent change all the way. No half-way stuff. LOL.
You keep up the great work!
Have a blessed day!!

Brenda,
Thank you for your reply. Which surgery did you have? Wow, 71 pounds since your surgery 3 months ago, that is a wonderful blessing. I'm alittle concerned about my weight loss because I have had nothing get in the way of my eating anything I want to. Everything goes down with no problem. I don't always fill full sometimes it's just a head thing, I tell myself to stop. Well, I'm going to put a call into the Dr. Rupp's office just to check things out.
Be Blessed and Thank you for your response,
Toya

Hi Toya!
Welcome and congratulations on your weight loss!!
To answer your question about what you can do to get back to losing weight...
It's normal to have stalls such as the one you're experiencing. I just came off of a stall also. Our bodies have just gone through a very tramatic thing and as with any diet and exercise program it needs to take a break and regroup once in awhile, so don't sweat it! Before long you'll start losing again. However, if you're not getting enough protein it will be more difficult to lose weight Get your protein in and keep exercising and drinking your fluids and you'll see loss again soon
)
Keep up the GREAT work!!
God bless!
