Topic: School Project- Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook
HI Evceryone! Thanks to all *****sponded to my last post. I probably should have written all of the information that I will need in that post but I wasn't thinking that far. To those who are unfamiliar with the first post, I am creating a weight losss surgery cookbook for a school project. I hads surgery about 3 months ago and my mom is going to have her surgery on the third of December, so I thought that this would be a fun project for bot of us. Here is the information that I will need from anyone who would like to participate =) Your answers and recipies can be sent to me directly if you don't want to post them.
1) Full Name and age
2) When did you have your surgery?
3) What were some of your favorite recipies during the liquid/soft food/ solid food stage?
4) What did these recipies mean to you?
5) How have these recipies contributed to your new, healthy lifestyle?
6) Were any of these recipies recreated from those that you had before surgery? If so, what did you change and why?
7) Where/ when did you learn these recipies?
Again, thank you to all who participate =)

Topic: RE: 10 wks out What are you eating?
I still try to have one protein shake a day. I like the Unjury Vanilla. I mix it with skim milk and sometimes add pineapple and coconut extracts (pina colada). Other times I'll mix half a banana and a teaspoon of peanut butter. Yumm. The only meat I can't eat is pork chops. Bad news. Other than that I can eat any meat. I eat raw carrots for snacks, string cheese, yogurt. Once in awhile I few tiny pretzels. I eat cooked veggies. Gee, I guess pretty much anything. The only salads I will eat are if they do not contain iceburg lettuce.
My nut said that any liquid (even counts yogurt as a liquid) counts in the 64 oz but you would need to check with your folks.
My problem is not getting enough calories in. I'm workin at it though.

Start of process - 389
Day of surgery - 329
Current - 291
Total lost - 98
This week - 4 lbs
Sorry I didn't post last week. I could say that it was because I was busy playing with my new computer game, but actually it was because I was pouting because I had a stall and didn't lose. LOL I have lost 8 inches from my hips since surgery. I refused to get near a tape measure prior to that so I don't know the total.
Hoping to hit the minus 100 lb mark this week, but won't hold my breath. LOL We are never really satisfied with the rate of loss are we? But I feel dang good.

Thanks great 59lb's and under 200. I wish you lots of luck with those bars, I had only been doing 1 protien drink a day for about a week, and noticed a lack of energy, so the last couple of days I'm back up to 2 drinks. I know I dont like them much but I need them. As for food I have to force myself, how funny is that, I would have never believed it, 4 mo's ago. lol...
you take care and keep up the good work..

Topic: RE: WHAT IS EVERY-ONE EATTING????
Hi Trish, so were do you find this Chi-Chi's chicken?? In a can, frozen, sound like I might want to give it a try! I'm doing better now, some days that is. It'**** and miss theres days when I can eat with no problem and then days I cant hardly eat at all.. Nothing sounds good, so its hard to even think of eating. I do eat nuts with no problem, I hope thats ok... Thanks for your input hope to hear from you soon.

I am eating lots of yogurt, some meats, mostly ground beef, no steak, shrimp is fine if tender. Chicken is ok, but still makes me blow eats sometimes. I just got a stricture fixed so I am finally eating other foods than yogurt - it is sooo much better now. I can to - my great dismay - eat candy (like reeces ) pretty easliy, more than food even. Gonna have to watch that. Still sticking to mostly soft foods. I love apples though and they are ok peeled. I would love to eat salad and veggies, my appointment is on Tuesday, hope I get the ok for them then. OH, stopped drinking shakes after first few weeks out, lost tons of hair - but still trying to find one I can keep down. Thanks for your honesty, helps to know someone out there is not drinking the horrid shakes, maybe we can find one we like if we communicate about it.
